Hull and Swansea and the real struggling sides.

Post by Wile E Coyote » Sun Feb 12, 2017 1:11 am

Think we are approaching the rapids soon, Hull and Swansea are doing a lot better, their form might be on the up at a bad time.
Sunderland look doomed, difficult to know who will fill the other relegation spaces. Whilst its good we have a barrier points wise, they could soon be eroded if we fail to pick up points this month. Can't make my mind up about Leicester, Boro, and Palace .We might thrash chelsea and all this will be irrelevant.

If we can just avoid defeat in those 3 crucial away games, therefore keeping the points gap similar, the best we can. Then we'll enter April in a reasonable position. Of course any win would be a major bonus. I think Palace will struggle, they have the top six to play yet, and of course ourselves. I'll take a point against Chelsea now thank you. Hoping we can pull of a (shock) win!!

Sunderlands 0-4 at home yesterday suggests to me that they and Palace are in real trouble.

Palace and Sunderland both had championship defences at the Turf. Hull are an interesting one, conceding for fun under Phelan they've tightened up and looked better of late. A point would be a good result at their place, a lot better for us than it would be for them anyway.

Hull are looking excellent for a side who have sold 3 of their better players from last seasons promotion team. Nailed on for relegation before a ball was kicked, nailed on for relegation a few weeks ago when they sold Snodgrass. They look a completely different side and a dangerous one, 51% of possession they had Yesterday away at Arsenal, they were on the receiving end of two terrible decisions too. Grosicki and Markovic look like two we should have looked to snatch from their grasp during the window based on what I've seen in the short period.

Both looked very good, although Markovic can be up and down. A worry for when we play there and there is a story waiting to be written re Grosicki. A draw at Hull would be a very good outcome for us.

If form over the last 5 games was anything to go by, then Bournemouth, 'Boro and Leicester are the sides in real trouble.
But form means nothing. Hull are supposed to be on an upward slope but lost yesterday, as we have shown, playing well doesn't always bring home points. Sunderlands great win over palace brought fears of a revival, big bump a week later. Sam has either lost his magic or picked the wrong club to save this time.

There are some very poor defenses out there that is what gets you relegation, as long as our defence remains intact we will be fine, shame we didn't get Robertson and another centre half in though.

Swansea and Hull look like they have the bottle to fight out of trouble. I still have a feeling Sunderland might do it.

Boro and Leicester should be very very worried. Bournemouth not safe yet either.

Sunderlands defence looks incapable of redemption, barely Championship level.

What Swansea and Hull added in the window was pace. Swansea with Narsingh, Hull with markovic and grosicki.
A coincidence adding this quality to your team related to an upturn in form/results ?
Hull looked very dangerous on the break against Arsenal yesterday, it's a useful outlet to have.
