Just to make clear, lets hope its a really good day, the Imps have a safe journey here and back and that its a good game and the best team wins.

Which would have been the exact nature of all conversations leading up to this game if a small minority of the Lincoln support hadn't got all Billy 'Big' ******** on us.

Sod that. Lets hope they have miserable day out as we win the game with the most outrageously bad refereeing decisions since we played Arsenal.

I think it is condescending to say anything other than what we would for a regular league game.

If I spot a Lincoln fan in our end I'll be shopping them to the stewards, no danger.

We are not a "nice, welcoming" club... no one likes us, we don't care.

This is football not tiddly winks, it is tribal ;)

Probably is, as it also had it's best days over 50 years ago just like Lincoln City.

Has this website got to an all time low arguing with a Non league side about attendances?

With some of the **** that gets posted on here and the endless threads about race, religion etc, you think the website has now reached an all time low becuase fans are having a laugh about attendances?

Really?

It's a free country(just) and we're not in the eighties
Burnley FC are the same as every other venue, sporting or otherwise, in that they have certain terms and conditions attached to the purchase of admission. The rules at Turf Moor are mainly driven by legislation or preventing the club being sued. The law of the land currently states that football clubs must take every reasonable measure to ensure the segregation of visiting supporters. The laws were enacted following the football violence and tragedies of the 70s and 80s alongside laws governing seating at stadia.

It is entirely possible that a visiting supporter, having gained entrance to the 'home supporters only' areas, could then sue the club should they receive any harassment or worse at the hands of BFC supporters. Not likely but possible.

As long as it's us winning I don't really care if they play us off the pitch. This is the FA Cup and it is winner take all unlike the League.

I hope we absolutely humiliate them. The Team and their fans. I hope the fallout from the defeat knocks them out of their stride in the league and they end up having to contend with the lottery of the Play-Offs, which I then hope they fail miserably in.
Then, I hope all their dicks wither up and fall off; including this Princess character.

Unless I have missed some posts no one has gone all BBB on this forum, we are guests. A lot of Burnley fans have chosen to look at Lincoln Forums where there is some posturing and yes maybe arrogance, if you don't want to see it don't look !!!

Since it is all about money at the end of the day, we will return home with our tails between our legs happy that the 16000 or so good fans of Burnley have contributed £5 (or nearly after expenses) each to Lincoln City. That £80,000 will be about a 10th of the playing budget so thanks to all.

Recently we've been praised as a club by the likes of Gabby Logan, Dan Walker and Trevor Sinclair to name a few for the welcoming nature. Maybe a few have acted irrationally though pent up frustration ( I know a few who go home and away but cannot afford the big lump of a season tickets so have maybe lost out on the chance.) but I don't believe that we are a nasty club abd I fail to see how I personally have been nasty. Also from your end your fans have been great giving me parking directions and I can't wait for the match to start

Are any sets of fans really like that? It's usually a small minority that ruins the reputation of others.

Apart from Leeds.

Just logged on after awhile and couldn't believe the amount of posts on this thread. A premiership club taking on a non league club (ignoring the history where we have played on the same level) should be welcoming their opponents irrespective of the perhaps disrespective optimism on Lincoln's forum (we'd do the same). I've travelled all over the UK following BFC and my best memories are sharing bars near away grounds where both sets of supporters had the banter. Since the 70's we've been the underdogs in most matches so should appreciate now the optimism of the Imps. Lordbeamish's opinion is about as immature as you can get (how old is he???).

Oh god you'll be crying next, grow a pair. Think some people have taken umbridge at the fact that some Lincoln fans suddenly think they're a massive club who could fill our ground 3 times over. Burnleys my club and the only thing I want is us to turn them over and get 1 step nearer a wembley final. ******** to rolling out the red carpet.

As always happens with football forums, some people get a bit giddy, some then respond with snide & childish comments and it all gets a bit play ground.

If we play like we have played this season then we will absolutely smash Lincoln, they know that, we know that. If we are off our game or start slowly then it'll be an interesting game, but we will still win. The sides we've named for our previous FA cup games would do well in the Championship, we are a different proposition to whatever has come before for Lincoln. I hope nobody does anything stupid and everyone comes to the game and enjoys it, it's another day in the spotlight for them, it's business as usual for us.

Steady sales all week, obviously from the hordes of Lincoln fans in the home ends, looking like a similar home crowd to Bristol City maybe a few more.

You'd think the club would have a total left available on each block so you don't have to count them individually.

Not good enough.

If it is you have picked one of the only sections that Burnley fans might be in.

On the plus side Andre's bird from Little Mix will be sat behind you in the Exec box.

I hope it gets a lot fuller than the pictures show.

Great pricing structure, still on a Saturday and a great chance of progressing .

The club should offer first refusal of quater final tickets should we go through and be drawn at home, to those who purchased tickets v Lincoln.

There was just short of 15k on against Brizzle who brought only a mini bus full of fans. Lincoln are bringing 3200 plus all the millions of illegal 'impigrants' in the home end.

Cant see there being 3k less clarets on than the brizzle game???

Bit of weird maths there mate. Still reckon 19-20k.

I am guessing the fact the Lincoln trolls haven't been on yet is that the 500 they had left today are still on sale to anyone. Probably a good job for them they haven't got another few thousand as requested to sell.

Some of them have been queueing since the early 80's for a game worthwhile attending, looks like this might be the one.

Exactly. I gave TomImp the highly valuable advice that he should park his car in a quiet, safe area on the Stoops Estate and then walk to the ground. I think we've been most helpful and hospitable to our visitors from the countryside.

Apparently there were no queues at the Lincoln ticket office mid afternoon, one chap having bought 3 tickets despite the one ticket per person, he was told to go to the back of the queue, twice. He was the only person in the queue and was lucky to get 3 seats next to each other by joining his own queue! Where are the thousands fighting to get the tickets? Something doesn't stack up here?

It's on TV , a bit of a trek and an early Kick off.

The same reason some Burnley regulars won't be attending.

The same reason some Burnley regulars won't be attending.

That is all fair and good except even when everyone knew the game was being screened live on BT the Lincoln Managing Director was whipping his supporters into an hysterical hissy fit because they felt we were doing them some kind of injustice.

If none of this nonsense had come to light we'd be commending Lincoln on their travelling support rather than dismissing it because of the calls for a 7,000 allocation.

Could be taken two ways, I chose the other.

The HOME support against Bristol City was 14,245 and i think we are somewhere near that level already, with a few days to go and sales on the day from the ticket office will see 15,000+ and a crowd around 19,000 like you said.
