Re: Where do our
Cheshire, Manchester and similar I would have thoughts. Can't imagine any of them living around Burnley. Maybe off towards Yorkshire down that way perhaps, but I doubt it.

Since they knocked down Trafalgar flats, they're scattered all over the place.

Wherever the council can find them a place, I'd imagine.
I believe Andre Gray has recently taken up residence next door to the chippy near the Stoops Estate.

I understand he has a place in Lothersdale near Skipton, as his kids go to the primary there.TheOriginalLongsider wrote:Dyche is in Whalley

Heaton lived in Cliviger but I think he's moved elsewhere now.
Re: Where do our
Always baffles me this talk of Burnley being a **** hole and it putting players off. Anyone would think that Rooney lives in Cheetam Hill, Coutinho in Croxteth and Hazard in Brixton.

I hear Vokes used to be in a place in Egerton near Bolton. Rumour has it Burnley have a couple of places down there for new signings to use

A few years ago I showed Jay and his parents round my sister’s house nr Worsthorne. Jay was very keen and would have bought it but it was already under offer and that sale went to completion.

I've heard Gray, Vokes and Tarks have houses very close, if not next door to each other.

Isn't one of the reasons SD still commutes from Northampton, that he doesn't want his kids to change school?nonayclaret wrote:I understand he has a place in Lothersdale near Skipton, as his kids go to the primary there.

Would make sense as those 3 seem very tight knit and think they car share to training.MiltonKeynesClaret93 wrote:I've heard Gray, Vokes and Tarks have houses very close, if not next door to each other.

That would be Deakins Mill, Rooster booster. Vokes used to live across from a friend of mine, but he moved away a couple of years ago now.Roosterbooster wrote:I hear Vokes used to be in a place in Egerton near Bolton. Rumour has it Burnley have a couple of places down there for new signings to use

Fills me with sadness to see people describe Burnley as such. Every town and city (including a London) has a less attractive area. Burnley has some great areas and is surrounded by beautiful countryside and fine villages.
I'm proud to be born in Burnley and always tell people. Lancashires a fine place and the people mostly warm and friendly.

Re: Where do our
I know someone who bumped into Dyche two weeks ago in a pub in Whalley.Wokingclaret wrote:Dyche might have a house there for when he is up here, but his kids are older and his family home is in Northampton
In conversation he was asked about living in Burnley and I said he house shares with Ian Woan when he up here, the house is on or near Calderstones Park in Whalley.
Returns to his family home in Northampton, as often as he can.

Re: Where do our
Dyche lives on Lyndhurst Road near the bottom chippy, and Gray lives in da Wood...Burnley Wood. All the other players are happy around Stoneyholme other than when Bamford was here showing off, as he rented a 2 up 2 down with a garden up Wycoller. Posh sod.

Re: Where do our
LoveCurryPies is spot on in all seriousness. Due to people saying it often enough, those who don't get around the UK start to believe that Burnley is actually some kind of sh*thole in a vortex of sh*thole places.
I see all around the UK through work, and whether it's Birmingham, London, Newport, Leicester, Swindon, Oldham or Coventry, there are some real hell holes in every single one. Burnley is no better, but certainly no worse than any of those, or other places.
We have some rough areas and some beautiful places, which are all relative to the size of the town.

Re: Where do our
You're right, we have some very dodgy areas here in Kent, a county which many outsiders think lives up 100% to its nickname ('The Garden of Kent'). Even Tunbridge Wells, Maidstone and Bromleyl have some ropey areas. When you escape from those parts, there are admittedly some picturesque parts of the county but it's not long before things take a turn for the worse again and you come across a Dartford, a Gillingham or a Sheerness.LoveCurryPies wrote:Fills me with sadness to see people describe Burnley as such.
