One to watch Sean Raggett

Post by claretandy » Sun Feb 19, 2017 12:55 pm

Thought he was excellent even before the goal, 6ft 5 and only 23, one to keep an eye on.

My cousin is a Dover fan and Raggett came through the youth system. He told me a couple of years ago that Burnley came to have a look at him. He messaged me yesterday saying he thinks he'll play in the prem one day. Didn't look out of place.

It's a good shout picking him out and I know you're not doing that simply because he scored. He was dominant in the air - I can't remember Vokes winning an header against him - and his all round performance was assured. I wouldnt have a clue whether he does that on regular basis mind.

The Dover youth system is a conveyor belt of talent.

Seen him several times this season at Sincil Bank and has impressed
Think he will do well at League 1 level but whether he can step up further only time will tell
Lincoln have to top League and be promoted otherwise several players will be head hunted to League 1 and bigger pay

Even without his goal, I thought he was motm... I'm not one to really notice opposition players, even in the Prem, but him and that no.5 were brilliant. Between the pair of them I don't think they lost out on a header all day!

Had a quick scan in the programme for Raggett's age but couldn't find it, surprised he's 23 and been overlooked by League Football

Yeah, their centre backs were excellent. In fact most of their side could have comfortably passed as League 1 players.

As could most of ours yesterday.

We played into his hands by lumping it up aimlessly in his direction and Vokes having a very poor game.

Both there centre backs looked very slow and we should have made a lot more of this - but lacked the intelligence and guile in midfield to work that one out.

Don`t want to take anything away from Lincoln as they are having a good season and have beat good teams in the cup - but yesterday was caused by our ineptitude not their brilliance

6 foot 5 and a very good goal scoring record from ch. Would be foolish not to look at him. Hes obviously played a part in a succesful side regardless of level.
