Parking and a pint at Hull

Post by stansoffstump » Tue Feb 21, 2017 11:09 pm

Anyone got any tips for parking and a pint near the ground on Saturday? I've had a look on City's web site and they recommend the Walton st club and the Brickmakers arms for away fans. Anybody been or got any better ideas?

Not sure of the pubs name, however it was a short walk through the park. They let us park on there, and it served butty and burgers.

You turned right off the main road after the park.( not the one on the corner that was home fans only )

Chippy and shops etc on the main road for pre or post match food.

From Police information sheet -

Designated away pub.

Please encourage any travelling fans to utilise the away drinking establishment known as Walton Street Club, contact Hull City Football Club or the Humberside Football Intelligence Officers for further details. The club is next to the Walton Street car-park, and the ground. They serve alcohol and food, and have a mixture of home and away fans – all of whom over the past few seasons have been very well behaved.

From the football ground guide, under Pubs for Away Fans... "Tim Jones a visiting Aston Villa supporter informs me; 'The Park View pub virtually opposite the stadium car park entrance allows in away fans. It has a good atmosphere and the Hull fans there were friendly. It also has a big screen showing Sky Sports and a burger van outside'." Park View in Hull? :o
