Electrician needed for a kitchen job next week - Colne

Post by Walton » Wed Feb 22, 2017 3:43 pm

We're about to have our kitchen replaced, however the bloke signed up to do the electrics has had to pull out, when he was due to start next week.

Are there any electricians on here who'd be able to come out and have a look at the work required?

Basically the job involves a couple of new sockets around the (small) kitchen, and running a 6mm cable from the board to the kitchen. The last occupants were clearly jokers and were running a range cooker off an extension plug.

We're in Winewall near Colne.

Let us know on here whether you can do it, and I'll leave my email address up for a short while.

Cheers

Walton

Best of luck Walton. We had an electrician arrive recently as we are thinking of a new kitchen, he said as a matter of course the Kitchen Company prefer to run a complete new ring main from the mains box to the kitchen, (I think that's what he said) also some extra sockets are required. We have a built in fridge with the socket behind it, he said that's not allowed and has to be on show. What was interesting was that these new built in cookers can be run off a 13 amp socket. I intend to get the "new ring main" work he mentioned clarified by another electrician before we proceed. Good luck I hope you find someone. UTC
