No Nay Never
Our fans campaigned for an end to goal music because it made us look like a "tin pot club".
I'm tired of hearing this. We have long since eclipsed our neighbours down the road. We should not sing this anymore. All this talk from Blackburn Fans on this message board where the poor deluded sods still think they are a force to be reckoned with, well our fans singing this tired old drivel makes them keep believing that!
Time to move on!

Re: No Nay Never
If we just use the original words when we were last above them in the early 70's of WILL WE PLAY instead of TILL we play, it will be fine.

Basically this.Claretforever wrote:If we just use the original words when we were last above them in the early 70's of WILL WE PLAY instead of TILL we play, it will be fine.
If they must sing it at least use the correct words, "till" doesn't make any sense at all.

Ah!..........NNN. Ok, slightly confusing to my old bonce wth starting of your post with Goal Music.Healeywoodclaret wrote:I think you do.
I`m 61 years old in June and When I started going on (1960) the words were not sweary, B`stard wasn`t part of it, it was Blackburn(Spit!)
I have to say it still sounds awesome when sung at a good volume, I still get the shivers. We are unique in the way we sing basically the original lyrics unlike any other club and I don`t include them because they stole it from us in the 70s, let them sing it all they like it sounds fkin stupid how they`ve Ba$tardised it.
The only club in the entire league who don`t have to put FC in the song is Wolves. They were the very 1st to sing it regarding their football club.
But Burnley fans are the originators of it for the terrace, everyone else just followed.
What really is missing from our fans is COME ON YOU CLARETS!!!
That needs bringing back to life.

Yes I always sing Will now anyway, as this is a song of celebration.Stan Tastic wrote:Basically this.

Re: No Nay Never
NNN is our song. Of course we should sing it, always. Regardless of whether the fiddlers are above or below us. They are our rivals, end of.
It's soon going to be back to how it always was, us in the top flight, them scrabbling around in the 3rd division.

Re: No Nay Never
Ha ha I get that!. Will we play is certainly better for current times because they are in free fall and may be kicked out of the football league altogether in the not too distant future. Nobody will know who we are singing about except us and what's left of them!Spike wrote:this song has a place in everyone's heart!
