No direct trains to york/leeds
Am I missing something? Searching for Saturday 25th from Burnley (any/Man Rd) to York and all results showing one or two changes. Same going for Leeds has the same outcome. Is this the cost of having a direct line to Manchester?

Re: No direct trains to york/leeds
All Leeds trains go from Manchester Rd station and depart at 12 minutes past the hour all morning Saturday. Takes 1 hr and 10 minutes to Leeds. 38 minutes past each hour is a departure to Hull which takes 57 minutes. Each train from Man Rd at 12 mins past goes direct to York.
It is better to buy a ticket to Hebden Bridge and a ticket from Hebden Bridge to your destination - you do not need to exit the train there at all.

My mother used to get a train from Burnley to York without a change. When she got back on to go home I seem to remember it was the Blackpool train - again with no change. I'd be surprised if this has been dropped

Re: No direct trains to york/leeds
Blackpool North to York runs every weekday hourly directly so you don't need to get off the train anywhere.
It runs every two hours on a Sunday.
The service is often late / cancelled but when on time is quite good.
I did Hull the last time we played them on the train and it was a piece of cake.

I don't know if I'd be over confident travelling all that way in a cake.tybfc wrote:I did Hull the last time we played them on the train and it was a piece of cake.

Ha ha.
Saturday's timetable is pretty much the same as the Monday to Friday one.

Are you sure we played them on the train? Not sure the pitch would meet the minimum dimensions standard!tybfc wrote:Blackpool North to York runs every weekday hourly directly so you don't need to get off the train anywhere.
