No because the free streams are 99 percent ****. You spend 10 mins finding a good link, then it buffers, rinse repeat.KRBFC wrote:While I understand what you're saying, you are still paying for a stream that is free to watch elsewhere. Like you said, adblocker removes adverts.

Have they stopped taking subscriptions do you know ?clarethomer wrote:I will repeat again for those that missed the other thread.
Sportsmania is no longer accepting new signupds following today. HOWEVER you can still sign up for sportsnation or ultimatemania and get the same service as they are sister sites to sportsmania.
Its just a different add on you install but run by the same people.
It is my understanding that the reason sportsmania is stopping at present is because of the software that they are using to run the site which is not working as expected and they rely on 3rd parties to resolve some of the issues - if a load of people log in at the same time it can crash which is what has happened a couple of occasions recently. They assure us that they are not even anywhere near capacity from a server perspective.
Any buffering is almost usually down to the user end. Whether it be poor wifi quality, lack of RAM in a device or poor maintenance of the device.
Its well worth the £1 a week...even if there are slight hiccups every now and then.
If you miss out signing up today - you can still access their service through the above named sister sites.

Thanks Dom - that gives me the answer.
New add on to Kodi needed.
Let's hope it's as good as Sportsmania - should be from the sounds of it.

No, don't do that as you'll get kicked off it and banned. It's only £50, buy your old man one.

I subscribed to Sportsnation this week. Any tips on how to watch the match?
Re: Sportsmania
Not tried yet but assume from looking after putting it on Kodi that you simply open the app and select either the calendar or the epl match day options (we are showing in epl match day section 1).

Re: Sportsmania
You can either view it via kod and the tvaddon, or download the matrix browser from the app store I devices or the play store android devices, works a treat.
Re: Sportsmania
Well it's definitely better than the free streams but early viewing suggests it's certainly not HD / like watching via SKY.
More like HD lite - not bad on close ups but a tad juddery for longer range cameras.

Re: Sportsmania
It isn't HD, I don't care what anyone says or whether it's labelled as such.
However it is very good quality. I've had to stop using it on the firestick though as it was constantly stuttering - clearly a firestick problem because it works perfectly fine through a web browser.

Re: Sportsmania
Yes, I selected the HD link. It wasn't HD.
I was expecting an HD picture after all the comments on here, but there is no way that can be called HD. If I got that sort of quality through SKY HD, I'd be ringing up to complain.
I'm not suggesting it isn't watchable, it's very good for fifty quid but there is no way I will be ditching SKY. It's just a good option for 3pm games that you couldn't normally watch live.

Re: Sportsmania
I think the point is that this"service" does provides something that nobody else offers - every PL match live in excellent quality - at a "cost" of £1 per week. It has enabled me to watch Burnley matches from afar - without buffering and in certainly very much better than SD quality. Does what it says on the tin for me.

Me too - tried before on the firestick and it was useless ( I did have a terrible build on it though). Looking forward to it next week. I've paid way too many £16 before now.
And the thing I hate most about 'paid for' PPV? They run adverts - the pond life have the gall to run countless adverts throughout.
