I've sort of broken up with them on FB, on behalf of Burnley as a whole

Meltdown is normal for a smoggy. Todays result will have them crying in their pies.
I love the way Kawanker always looks so negative. The players must really love him.

Just copied this from the Bbc web site.
Krankies comments after the game.
you don't come to the game with the right attitude, it's hard to win.
"Also, I didn't know George Friend was injured until yesterday so I had to change everything last minute.
"We have to keep working. We don't have the spirit other teams have, we don't have the money other teams have to spend - the only thing we can do is keep working together."
We don't have the spirit other teams have.
That's a great read if his players actually care what he says.

I was talking to a Boro fan at work this morning, and was saying how bad Kawanker is. I said if they get beat today you can guarantee he'll be blaming the players.Jeffbfc wrote:Just copied this from the Bbc web site.

Any manager who states that his team lacks spirit, wants to be sacked, so he is not responsible for the relegation on his CV!

Re: Middlesbrough
From boroforum
Ive just had a thought is gibson following burnley (bare with me with this one), letting karanka get experience of the premier league in his first season and gaining the finance to stay next time while hes doing it. Then letting karanka stay when we go down so that if he gets us promoted again he comes back wiser, has the money to stay in it and knows what is required from the start.

I'm surprised Karanka is still there now. Never mind a relegation and another full season in the Championship.

"Aitor Karanka says Patrick Bamford can play for Middlesbrough's Under-23s - if he wants to"
Something odd is going on at Boro it seems.
Bamford isn't getting picked, unsurprisingly, and Karanka is saying in that article he needs 18 fighters right now whilst suggesting Downing & Bamford could play for the U-23 team.

Re: Middlesbrough
This the same Bamford who was only a sub for us due to Dyche not wanting to improve a loan player ? I thought he just needed to be wanted.
Boro sign him for 6m and find out within a week and a start against Accy that he isn't as good as some make out. Still the troll will soon remind you he was player of the year once in the championship

Re: Middlesbrough
I think the big question here is who is actually making the signings at Boro?
Bamford is seemingly surplus to requirements already and I am pretty sure Karanka didn't want Jordan Rhodes (nor possibly Stewart Downing). I can only see this ending badly, but Gibson is a very loyal man and wants to give him the opportunity to save them from relegation having got them promoted.

Re: Middlesbrough
Good manager is Karanka, he's done well at Boro but he says some weird things. Gibson is throwing unwanted signings at him Rhodes, Bamford, Downing etc.
Re: Middlesbrough
He was POTY once in the Championship? He clearly has some talent whether or not he's PL standard who knows? Certainly not you. Boro had him on loan previously when he won POTY in the Championship, Im sure they will have had enough time in that previous loan period to assess him so your comment "find out within a week he isn't as good as some make out" is horse shite as usual.claretdom wrote:This the same Bamford who was only a sub for us due to Dyche not wanting to improve a loan player ?
