I've started to look into this and I am totally confused.
Just wondered if anyone on here has any experience with such products. What are your thoughts. Good bad indifferent. Worth the money. Different levels of cover etc.

I'm considering it too d1sc0. Like most insurances, it is only ever worth it if you need to use it and you don't really want to have to use it!

Re: Private Health Insurance
My experience is you get what you pay for. If it's cheap, expect to only qualify for treatment if your gp says it's necessary.
Re: Private Health Insurance
I spent about half hour on phone to bupa last week asking loads of questions. They were really helpful. I'm generally fit and healthy but as I am self employed I am well aware any long layoff through illness or injury would cripple me. Trying to weigh up do I go for a higher excess. Do I got for a limit in consultation fees etc. What would I look to claim for. What would I carry on with and wait for NHS treatment etc.
