Student Discount

Post by littlemissclaret » Thu Mar 02, 2017 10:30 pm

I don't think BFC do student discount on match tickets? I can't say I blame them. I did notice though that Watford and Crystal Palace do. As a 50 year old occasional night school attendee, I had overlooked my NUS membership card. Presumably this is enough to get a student discount? I don't have to be an actual proper spotty 18 year old? Does anyone know of other clubs who offer a student discount to away fans?

This type of deal usually applies to full-time students only (though age doesn't matter) - after verification of status.

Probably one of the reasons why Burnley do under-22 discounts rather than student discounts is to shut out people who try and abuse the system in the way you outline. (It also helps relatively low paid young adults, too.)

BTW, you don't have to have spots to get a student discount any more than you have to have cellulite to get a pensioner's discount. And the students can console themselves that the spots will go! ;)

Yep, we're more generous with our U22 category, applies to more people and those who we've brought through the free child and very cheap children tickets. I think we realised that a lot would stop coming with a jump in price from £95 to £350+ tickets coupled with them maybe having to pay for them themselves as they hit 18. The pricing for U22 in the Cricket Field has to be applauded.

The under 22 pricing is great, it keeps fans in the stadium at a time when lots of other things can make you lose your interest in football!

Also it helps if youre 24 and look a bit under 22 =0

One of my ex-colleagues became a mature student, and despite earning £30k+, shamelessly blagged everything he could using his newly-acquired NUS card.

The highlight was less than half price membership at a good Leeds golf club.

Jammy get.
