At the start of the season ....
If I asked for a team (dont be THAT GUY and say teams in the top 6) that if we were above them at the end of the season then we would be safe.
Which team would you have picked?
Teams that are generally not in the top 6/8 but you just know that under usual circumstances will mot go down.
I would have gone for Watford...... And it's still looking like we could finish nicely above them at the end of the season.

Sunderland, because usually they avoid relegation by the skin of their teeth.

Top 7 are a given.
West Brom, Stoke, West Ham and Saints for 8,9,10&11. They have money and PL managers.
The rest could have finished anywhere and still might.

anybody, I genuinely have no ill feeling to any team in the Premier League, I only care about us BUT if you were to push me for an answer it would be Boro just because their fans are bizarre

Leicester are the side who (within the realms of realism permitted by the OP) you'd have got longest odds on us finished above at the start of the season.
Everyone thought they'd still be top 10 this season as a minimum.

Think you misunderstood the OP a little mate. It wasnt "who don't you like and want to finish above".Vegas Claret wrote:anybody, I genuinely have no ill feeling to any team in the Premier League, I only care about us BUT if you were to push me for an answer it would be Boro just because their fans are bizarre
It was more of a - which team would you have targetted to finish above to remain safe at the start of the season.
