All games in the Argentinian professional football leagues have been postponed this weekend as players have gone on strike after non payment of their salaries. The start of the new season had already been delayed for almost a month to try amidst threats and acrimonious statements.
They players union also blame Club owners and chairmen for spending more than could afford making the collapse of a TV deal with the government catastrophic to club finances.
All 3 top divisions have seen their opening day fixtures postponed this week with only 4th division amateur teams playing matches.
