That's what can happen when you bugger about with the rules.
Who would you advocate take the shot ? I'm struggling to be honest.

Re: Plan B against Liverpool
Not sure who best to take - would have said Heaton but that would give the game away

Heaton would knacker it if they were kicking off.

You've got me thinking now as to whether it should stand or not.

Sorry, just double checked the rule change, and yes, it should stand

It was a very common tactic 30 years ago at Junior school/early teenage football where two foot keepers had to stand in full size nets.

Re: Plan B against Liverpool
I know the rule has changed so that the ball can be played backwards straight from
the kick off, but there is nothing to stop the ball being played forward straight from
the kick off. It need not be to a man on the same side either.
So goal stands, unless I have got it wrong.

It would be perfect for Marney if he was fit.
He normally skies his shots, so it should be heading back to earth by the time it reaches the goal.

Re: Plan B against Liverpool
My brother used to do it a lot during his schooldays, he had one hell of a kick on him for a school boy. I'd imagine keepers will be looking for it now.Quickenthetempo wrote:It was a very common tactic 30 years ago at Junior school/early teenage football where two foot keepers had to stand in full size nets.
Re: Plan B against Liverpool
Question marks over the goalkeeping there.
It happens a lot in junior football, but that is because most of the kids can't touch the crossbar, as the nets are massive.
Keeper in the clip deserves the sack if he is a professional

Re: Plan B against Liverpool
Give them 80% possession as they haven't a bloody clue what to do with it when they have got it, Sorted.
I do believe they are going to be looking to make amends for the defeat at the Turf though.
