Re: Roll call for Anfield...
Me + 200 with Accy Clarets.
Re: Roll call for Anfield...
3 of us. Any ideas on best place to park?
Re: Roll call for Anfield...
I'll be in Liverpool all weekend, but I've opted out of getting a ticket for the match.
When the rest go on the game, I'm going to set off back home.
Not a proper fan anymore, if it WOULD OF been Tranmere away I'd be all over it

Re: Roll call for Anfield...
Watching on TV myself and hope the below gives all some confidence.
"We have played 8 league games in 2017.
Vs United, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal = 8 points
Vs Sunderland, Swansea, Hull, Leicester = 1 point"
The above is c&p from a Lfc message board.

Yep, me and the lad, going in the car, there's a park and ride from gilmoss, on the east Lancs road L11 0BB, apparently free, short bus ride direct to anfield
Re: Roll call for Anfield...
The Arkles pub, close to where the away coaches park and 2 minutes from the ground, allows away fans in.Claretmatt4 wrote:Shocked the tickets are it to general sale so I snagged two for me and my brother.

Although I haven't actually been in it, just around the corner from the Arkles, and a few more minutes further away from the ground, is the Flat Iron pub.Claretmatt4 wrote:Bob on cheers Leisure

Re: Roll call for Anfield...
Any advice on where to *safely* park? Is it worth the park and ride or is there somewhere within walking distance from the ground?

Re: Roll call for Anfield...
I'll be doing what I usually do for matches at Anfield or Goodison.
Drive to Ormskirk, park ( free ) at the station, get the train to Kirkdale, and walk to the ground from there across Stanley Park.

In the 60's and 70's walking through Stanley Park was not for the faint hearted!lakedistrictclaret wrote:I'll be doing what I usually do for matches at Anfield or Goodison.

You're right there, Leisure, but it's fine now.
It is, generally, entirely safe going to away matches now.

Re: Roll call for Anfield...
Night matches at Anfield were particularly scary! They were even jumping down from the trees!
