I can still hear the ripple of the net as Danny Ings' goal went in.

There was a micro second between that and the away end erupting but time stood still for long enough for it to register.

There would be no offside goal or a cheating "professional" foul to save them any longer.

What a day.

Rowls - you are spot on. There was a period of time from the goal going in before the eruption. Everything just seemed to fall silent for what seemed like an age but would only be a brief pause. Then the realisation, then the tension of the rest of the game and then that wonderful, wonderful feeling that the wait was finally over.

I'd only had 2 pints with my full English in preperation, however the headache I suffered after the goal I have never experienced before or since.

It felt like my head was about to explode.

Did anyone else get one? It was very strange.

Yep. Awful headache from screaming and the noise around me and I nearly fainted from jumping around.

It was all well worth it.

Excellent - and for all those willing to give Derby County's Jason Shackell a bit of a kicking now, look at the footage - it brings to mind Barry Davies' "Look at his face, just look at his face !" We owe him for that.
Dyche's post-match jibe was pretty good too when describing Shacks, with his eyes shut, "heading like a chicken"..............

It was worth the wait. And their demise is worth it too, coupled with our resurgence, ours without the input of some old dodders retirement money to fund it. Long may it last.

It took all of mine & my brothers effort to convince my dad to go to this game as he didn't want to go through the rigmarole of the travel arrangements and that it was/is also my mums birthday.

There were celebrations at Ninos that night with a few texts between myself and my Rover friend.

Sent a few this morning to him but strangely not had a reply yet

Exactly. Add to this the sending off at Turf Moor in the last minute when Danny Ings had broken free on goal. It gave us no time to play against 10 men, secured them a draw and meant we had to wait an extra two years to rightfully beat them at Turf Moor.

I was sat in a pub in Euxton near Chorley watching this with my Father-in-law. We were the only two Clarets in the pub that day, everyone else was a B@st@rd!

I must admit I probably didn't register how many Rovers fans there were until Ings scored. Don't get me wrong, I celebrated the equaliser, but I was quite restrained. The Ings one had me jumping out of my seat shouting and cheering though ha ha!! Then I turned around to sit back down and felt everyone's eyes on me in the pub. You could see the daggers in their eyes ha ha, even my Father-in-law, who looked like he might disown me.

I sat down for the last 10 minutes and then wallowed in my own happiness at the final whistle. Watching the Rovers fans trudge out of the pub at the end was the cherry on the cake.

Forgot about that. So foo kin annoying aren't they. Even when we played them and they were light years ahead of us, they were constantly diving/ professional (? ironic) fouls/ complaining to the Ref, etc. Bunch of cnuts. No club is more deserving of their current predicament than them, and let's hope it gets much, much worse for them yet.

This day will never be forgotten for me.

I was in charge of getting the tickets for myself and a few mates. All went to plan and I picked them up and then put my ticket in the kitchen drawer..... All was fine til my mum decided a bit of spring cleaning was in order and threw it away.

I then got told another ticket could not be printed ... The ticket office staff then worked wonders and managed to get me a ticket which I picked up on the Friday afternoon before the game (this is why I never pay much attention to threads berating the ticket guys as when the time comes for them to help you out.....they always do).

Onto the match day - I didn't get a wink of sleep and was up bright and early and got onto the ale ... Few beers around town and a loss of time meant sprinting to TM to catch our bus which ended up having it's windows kicked out by a few idiots when we passed the Blackburn fans, this meant we all had to be stopped and ID'd when we arrived at Ewood by the police and thought we were going to miss the game.

We got let go and go into the ground with not long left til kick off and I found a spot to watch and then they scored ..... Another one of those "FFS NOT AGAIN" feelings. Half time and everybody seemed to look a bit deflated and ready for the inevitable draw/loss but I just had a feeling we were going to win from the moment they hit the post.

2nd half and I ended up moving over towards friends and then it happened .... We're equal and the feeling built up ...... Then that moment came along and we're winning. The only difference this time was it just didn't feel like we could concede this time.

The sound when we scored will always stay with me - I end up rolling around on the netting which was covering the seats about 5 rows in front of us. The celebrations afterwards when the fans refused to leave til our players and manager came back on to the pitch.

The journey back to Burnley was a bit subdued with a lot of smiles and disbelief that we'd actually beat them.... Whilst back in Burnley we were sat in the garden of The Turf pub and in walked a man who must have been in his 70s who just declared "I'VE WAITED 35 ******* YEARS FOR THAT!!!" Before he downed his pint in one. That is the moment that will always stay with me as until that day, Burnley had never beaten them lot in my lifetime - but this chap had actually seen us beat them, then lived through their dominance and finally, after all those years he got to see it happen again.

The best game we've ever played? Not a chance.

One of if not the greatest away day I have been on - DEFINITELY!!!

*edit because I was a lucky one and the moment that I celebrated that goal was captured by the photographer and I had to add this (with my shirt which was ripped apart in the celebrations as frienda grabbed me)*

So nice to wake up in Orlando and read the report over breakfast. What a Day, What a Win, What a Team. But who would have thought on that wonderful day that two members of Rovers team would be playing for the Clarets 3 years later. Its a funny old game

I always think this happened with Akinbiyi's goal at Chelsea as well, Just after the Keeper parried Eagles' shot.

Incredible day. I'd spent the week leading up to the match in intensive care in Manchester Royal following some pretty serious internal bleeding. No way was I missing the match, and I was discharged on the Saturday morning on the understanding I took things easy.

Yeah right. Every ounce of emotion I had came out that day, and come 7:00pm Sunday night I was completely drained, looked like Casper the ghost and slept for the best part of 2 days.

I was in Edinburgh with the mrs' family that weekend and even the earliest train wouldn't get me down to the Turf in time so we settled for a pub.

3 of us went down and they knew what was at stake. When Rhodes bagged I almost broke a pint glass I slammed it down so hard...

Fast forward an hour and we were sat there in disbelief. We had done it.

Headed over to a Irish bar (Finnegans Wake) and asked them to play the dubliners wild rover and sung me heart out over a few pints of the black gold.

What a day. Can't beat it.

Went on the home leg with two mates, who immediately blagged me to ensure they had tickets for the away leg. The celebration for the winner was probably the wildest I've ever witnessed (I believe the young folk call this 'SCENES') Anyone remember the "shoes off if you're going up!" chant shortly after?

My abiding memory will be turning to my dad moments before the final whistle and seeing him kick the chair. I asked what he was doing. His response was "I want to get on the chair so I can really ******* give it these bastards at full time". He was there to watch us beat them last time and it was only then I realised how much it meant to him. I'd only ever known Rovers be in a higher division than us, so it was a completely different experience for me.
