I've just been thinking about past encounters with Liverpool and it got me thinking about this game.
I remember watching this on the way home from Anfield in a pub somewhere. It was in the days when football was never on TV. I was thirteen and with my brother and his mates drinking pints of bitter.
The miss by Scott haunted me for years.
Anyone else got any memories of this game?

I was living in Scotland at the time so hardly ever saw Burnley in that era, but looking at that team on paper I do wonder how the hell we managed to get relegated to the Third division.

We went on a train from Burnley central.....it was like a military operation on arriving in Liverpool.......incredible atmosphere, but their fans were a bit naughty!

I explained last week that i can no longer access my Youtube account so if i get another DVD/VHS Combi i will search through the rest of my tapes for any footage and start another account.
