Anyone else notice that Sean was quite cool with him with the after match handshake ?

Not just klopp. Their fans were whistling from the 91st minute, and they cheered at the final whistle.

They were relieved to win.

Against Burnley. At home.

Bit sad really. If they had heaton and Keane and a great midfielder, they'd do some damage.

Didn't see the handshake but did notice what looked like an exchange of words during the game when one of their players crumbled under what looked like a fair challenge

...and time-wasting....at home.....against Burnley...

Come on guys, sure shows how far we've come when we beat Liverpool at home and desperately unlucky not to get at least a draw away. Despite defeat today, I'm less worried about being relegated than I was before the game.

PS Thought Klopp quite complimentary about Burnley, all considered......

How Emre Can was given MOTM, I will never know.

The amount of 50/50s he pulled out of today was pathetic.

I think they feel they have to give the MOTM to someone on the winning team. Pretty much every L'pool player was average at best. Almost any number of Burnley players ahead of the supposed MOTM e.g. Keane (immense), Barton, Hendrick, Barnes (as much for antagonistic and ruffing-up display)

Had a full panic mode sweat on at Turf Moor, probably relieved he didn't feel like that again.Dyche certainly doesn't like him me thinks, zero eye contact when he faintly shook his hand.

SD complaining loud and clear to 4th official about Liverpool cheating and falling over continually when touched, was not a happy chappy with Liverpool. Thought Barnes was particularly hard done by the ref

Both Carragher and Rednap agreed he was very poor for 60 minutes and yet still gave him man of the match.....baffling.

Against Arsenal Sky had 2 ex Arsenal players as summarisers and against Liverpool they have 2 ex Liverpool players as summarisers. Is there no one available to give a bit of balance?

If they had to give it to a Liverpool player it should have been given to Wijnaldum. Though Keane, Mee, Lowton, Ward and Hendrick deserved it much more than any individual Liverpool player

Both Carragher and Redknapp were overflowing (and sincere) in their praise for us.
Nowt to moan about in that department.

There was a debate mid match about a decision that went our way (correctly) and Dyche laughed at a frustrated Klopp.

In fairness he was very complimentary of us on MOTD just now. Said we are the most consistent side in the league in how we play and the best at it!

Agree 100 percent. My brother said the same. They and other teams know he is aggressive and easy to wind up. And play on it. And refs fall for it.

He's definitely not easy to wind up.

He had that Matip fella frothing at the mouth just by giving him some words to ponder.

They're wrong - Pawson was 'very poor' all game!

Liverpool took advantage of a referee who knew he was at anfield and never had the bottle to do anything other than give Liverpool the benefit. You say stupid, I say biased and unprofessional.

I remember 3 cynical fouls by Can in fairly quick succession in the first half that went unpunished by Pawson. So annoying. They were definitely time wasting/ their fans whistling for the ref to blow, etc. Another disappointing 2 - 1 away defeat where we deserved at least a point to a 'top' side/ media darling type team that have spent about 3 zillion pounds.

We will stay up, the bas turds are going down, NNN UTC

it's interesting in mind at least, if we achieve 17th place we will have met the seasons main objective, anything above is a bonus. Yet JK, and the other 8 top sides will have had a target of 4th as worst, several of them are going to fail I wonder how it feels to be 5th and told you are a failure, pretty harsh actually but why they get the big bucks I suppose. Beaten by one goal at the most so far by these teams really does show the fine lines and it seems a big gap in terms of buying players (costs) to try and ensure you are in the mix for the top 4.

Which begs the question if we stay up (and we will for those wondering what I think) what will be the target for next year and how much will we spend in terms of breaking record fees again. I "think" staying up a second term and players/agents seeing how we have played I do think we should have boosted our "attractiveness" to higher paid/name players

Super to be able to watch this unfolding like a soap opera in front of ones eyes :)

It is fascinating. It is also fascinating to see Dyche learning on the job.

Dyche has a stock of limited ability players (compared to the better Premier League ones) but of good character and has evolved a style of play that seems to work within these limitations but can still be effective in this league, generally speaking. The challenge is continue this steady progress with astute signings - ones that increase creativity and pace but still have the characteristics to fit in with the rest of the squad.

I hope he stays for a good few years yet to see where this policy takes us.
