Not a second yellow in my view. As said in commentary it was more about the timing following numerous fouls on Hazard, but that doesn't make it the right decision.

Silly foul at exactly the wrong moment.
Hazard always makes a meal of falling over and Conte is always remonstrating with the officials in order to get players booked.
Hope United turn them over now but doubt it will happen.

Was barely a foul never mind a yellow lol
Very poor refereeing decision which ruined what could have been a good game

What did he think he was going to get? Nowhere near the ball. Was it a serious attempt to make a tackle?
Soft decision but gave the ref virtually no choice.
I also thought his first yellow was a bit naughty, he knew what he was doing. I think he should be given another yellow for grabbing the ref after the red. And another yellow for refusing to leave the pitch.
Can't stand him. Reminds me of many things I hate Moaninho for.

2 yellows - both deserved
Stupid challenge straight after referee had spoken to smalling and jones - what was he thinking of ?
I despise Mourinho - he wasn't such a gobsh-ite when Conte confronted him was he ?!!!
Kante and Hazard have been brilliant.
Pogba been average
Feliani is awful - why did he bring him on and take off Myk who was having a good game ? Feliani is embarrassing.

shambles from Oliver, never ever a yellow card, complete lack of understanding of the game he's refereeing, complete lack of understanding of how much Hazard (and Chelsea) falls over at every opportunity. I'm far from a Man Utd fan but it's ruined what could have been a good game.

No way was it a second yellow card. If that was Boyd away at Sunderland this weekend you'd all be disagreeing with the decision.
Costa has been pathetic all game

How when there appeared to be no contact? If one of our players got sent off for that I'd be very annoyed.

Both deserved in my book. It's Manyoo anyway, so he should have had at least three cards IMO.

Oliver had completely bottled it after the sending off. I think I've totted up about 5 yellow cards for Valencia and 3 for rojo. Looked like a stamp just now too.

Herrera was stupid.
It was a foul, never a booking, and it spoiled the match.
I hope City or Spurs win it..cannot stand Chelsea and their fans or ( these days) Arsenal.

I don't like the interpretation of the first one. it should be like the basketball rule, where you stand is your ground. So I wouldn't give a yellow for that.
As opposed to making a movement across a player to obstruct him.
The second is a player going away from him towards goal and by modern reffing is a yellow every time.
He is an idiot for making that challenge with a yellow to his name.

This must be where we are going wrong. We need to all chip in before a game to bribe the ref.

His dissent at the first yellow card warranted a second. He is always at it...

Would also have liked to have seen Oliver apply the rules and yellow card players for surrounding and jostling the ref and for numerous blatant dissension.
Only Man U got away with it when players from lesser clubs would have been booked e.g. Burnley for instance.

I think Michael Oliver is an excellent ref, but that second yellow IMO was wrong.

Oliver didn't apply the basic rules and it led to an increasingly ugly set of tackles. How Rojo and Valencia didn't get book I don't know. I hope we get a better set of decisions when Pukemanu come visiting.

Only one person on the field and one off it to blame for spoiling the game -- and it wasn't the referee.
He gave the players plenty of chance to put their house in order, including not booking 4 or 5 United players when Herrera was sent off.
It was obvious from the start that United were targeting Hazard and he was fouled 5 times before the sending off.
Herrera has 11 cautions and 2 dismissals in 38 appearances this season.

I thought Keown's assessment of the Valencia challenge was generous to say the least. He left the ground with both feet to dive into the challenge.
Get the ball or not, come in sideways or not, that's a red card, these days, surely!?

Thought Herrera's second yellow was harsh and not necessary.
I think the ref. was trying to put his marker on the game but he could have given
him a final warning. If he had persisted afterwards then send him off.
Ruined the game to a certain extent.

We've all seen yellow cards given before for those "blocking someone off and then pretending you couldn't get out of the way" challenges.
Similarly you're always risking a yellow card with those cynical little trips on someone who's gone past you.
And if you commit one of those sly little digs scant nanoseconds after the referee has finally got wise to your team's rotational fouling of a certain opponent and b*ll*cked one of your team-mates for a foul on the same player, you're only going to find sympathy in the dictionary between sh*t and syphillis.
Herrara has been a narky, dirty little prick just about every game I've seen him this season and could have been sent off rather more often than he actually has. All that's happened tonight is a referee tiring of his cockwomblery.

Surely the first yellow card is the final warning.

The crowd didnt play any part in it Herrera played 100% of it displaying Mourinhos instructions to go out and stop Hazard.
FFS all the talk of not even a yellow ManU were zealous in their stopping of him by any means - nothing particularly bad but stop him.

Why should a defender have to get out of the way? It's up to the forward to go round him.
I've reffed at park level and in the heat of a game it is easy to give the benefit to the attacker - I've made that mistake - but it's wrong. If a defender moves into another players path to obstruct him that of course is a foul:
'IMPEDING THE PROGRESS OF AN OPPONENT WITHOUT CONTACT
Impeding the progress of an opponent means moving into the opponent’s path to obstruct, block, slow down or force a change of direction when the ball is not within playing distance of either player.
All players have a right to their position on the field of play; being in the way of an opponent is not the same as moving into the way of an opponent.'
