They are doing some work just up there too aren't they? Hope it's not affecting anything too bad.

It always seems to me like a strange thing to say does 'stay safe'.
Folk can only control what they do and not what others do, so they can't 'stay safe' but they can be safe up to a point.
What I think we should say is.... If you have to drive tonight, just don't drive like a knobhead.

Not really. Will have rained everywhere but only flooded where it couldn't flow away.

With the river calder about a foot away from flooding we will find out if the training ground at Gawthorpe is adequately protected.

Advise anyone to avoid the A6068 for the forseeable.
Road flooded in various places but worst just beyond the top entrance to Higham, before Roaming Roosters. Basically the fields around Higham are saturated and the water unable to get away.

M66 to Bury closed due to floods. With heavier rain forecast tomorrow we could have some real problems.

Is this likely to affect tomorrows route. i.e. are parts of the a59 and beyond likely to be the same?

Re: Padiham bypass flooded
I drove along it at around 6pm and there was quite a bit of deep standing water then.
Not stopped raining since so not surprised it's been closed tbh

Re: Padiham bypass flooded
Just dropped my lad off near Tesco in Padiham and the Calder is well up and running through at pace, I would imagine it's over the banks further down.
