score prediction versus sunderland

Post by Wile E Coyote » Thu Mar 16, 2017 11:21 pm

A resounding 4-0 win for us in my view. Not a game to be compacement about, everybody knows their role, everyone will be prepared to exploit the black cats obvious weaknesses. The reason sunderland are where they are is because they are continually hopeless. This will be our first away win of the season.
3 Very important points for Burnley football and athletic club.

I'm confident we'll win but more like 2-1 or 1-0.

I think we'll win, but typical of Burnley we'll do it the hard way. Another last minute effort. 1-0.

We're over confident in my opinion. We have to turn up and earn the right to play by making it as difficult for Sunderland to get a foothold as we can. If we play like we did against Liverpool we'll likely win but if we play like we did at Swansea we'll likely lose!

Honestly i can't predict an away win... so I'll go for a 1-1 draw.

I think we'll start well but go behind.

Barton to grab the game by the scruff of the neck and get us back in it.

Latest header from Ben Mee (via a Defour corner) to seal it.

Sunderland 1-2 Burnley

I think we will lose.

I do not see us winning an away game, its too big a mental hurdle even when we take a lead.

Have Sunderland had their yearly drumming yet - they usually get a 9-0 type scoreline once in a season - lets hope its us that does it and wipe out our goal difference.

But we will always be in the game
Be unlucky
Ref will be at fault
And we will definitely beat Boro away

This is my way of agreeing with your post but not `liking` it. I fear you will be right.

0-2...simply a game we must not lose.

Like the matches against Boro, Palace and Bournemouth.

I'm not saying we'll score in every game but considering we've scored in the last 12, only Arsenal have gone on a longer run (17), suggests we should score against teams like Sunderland.

It's not as though we are struggling for goals at the moment considering we've managed to score against Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool, Everton etc.

I'm going to be realistic this week. Our away form not always the best.

We will smash them 5-0. goals from Barton, Vokes, Gray, Mee and Barnes.

We didn't have a full team out, and the FA cup produces surprise results anyway. No-one seems to remember that Lincoln beat Brighton as well. I'll bet Huddersfield wouldn't have scored at the Etihad had it been a league game, for example.

Yet in the PL we have no problem scoring.

I think this could be a reverse scoreline, something along the lines of 3-1 defeat.

A rejuvenated Defoe to get 2.

Our away form will not improve until the playing staff improves.

If we can't beat Sunderland away from home then I don't think we'll win an away game ever again.

We'll make hard work of it but manage a scrappy 1-0 win.

On principle I honestly think some of our away games have merited more than we have got
Its that wining mental that away as sucked the life out of us and time and time again late half goals
We need to be strong jawed tomorrow and do what happened at Birmingham and Preston last season If this happens then we will be bringing the points back to Lancashire ugly win and i will be ecstatic a defeat then pressure mounts just dont lose this one UTC

A disappointing 2-0 loss. Both goals first half. 7 bookings in total. A scrappy affair. Standard starting lineup (same v Liverpool). Vokes and Brady the only subs used for Barnes (early yellow card for an arm in the face) and Arfield. 53% possession but only 1 shot on target. Defour an unused sub. I hope I'm wrong.

still no doubt at all about this game, Burnley will be so fired up for this chance to pick up 3, Sunderland won't know what hit them.
Win , win, written all over it. Moyes is a decent man,but he will have to endure another post match interview with nothing to say about his inept red and white stripey misfiring duds.

0-0 at best. Better teams we raise our game . Moyes is no mug and he will be prepared for the launch it tactics unless Sean has a cunning plan.
