I'm assuming you mean the bar that was within the Bob Lord Stand. It's the 1882 Lounge now and is used for corporate hospitality.South West Claret. wrote:What's the centre spot being used for now?

Thought so, pity as the Exeter City one is very very popular since the start of their "Real Ale + Cider Emporium" that was started by 4 Camra members, always 3 or 4 local Real Ales on + usually a Cider on every home match.ClaretTony wrote:I'm assuming you mean the bar that was within the Bob Lord Stand. Open to home and away fans pre and post matchs, all Ales at £3.

I remember the Centre Spot well. Had a few events there. Not sure about this penalty spot and centre spot though. When I refereed I always insisted on commencing the game from the centre mark. If I gave a penalty I would ensure it was taken from the correct place, namely the penalty mark.

Re: The Centre Spot.
It has been full on almost all tables when I have been in recently, with relatively high paying hospitality supporters and sponsors. I'd guess it brings in more cash to the club than fanzone located behind the Jimmy mac which sells a number of real ales and food- which is also busy every home gameSouth West Claret. wrote:Thought so, pity as the Exeter City one is very very popular since the start of their "Real Ale + Cider Emporium" that was started by 4 Camra members, always 3 or 4 local Real Ales on + usually a Cider on every home match.

The 1882 lounge/centre spot has been done up to a good standard and still well worth hiring for functions.
