The time has come for our first away win of the season, so I am making my first visit to stadshite, as they may say in Newcastle.
Very early set off for my 650 return journey! Ouch!
Madge is raring to go and will help get us all up for the match.
Come on you Clarets!

Sunderland ; The word "SUNDER' means beautiful in Hindi . It means beautiful land . We shall beautifully score three goals to nil and add them to our account .

I am very hopeful we get our first away win today.
I expect Defoe to get his obligatory goal against us but we will have too much for them.
Sunderland know this should be one of the best chances for them to get three points to start to climb out of trouble.
If they don't they are very likely to be relegated. This equates to lots of pressure from their fans which they are very bad at dealing with.
A draw would mean that we maintain a 12 point advantage over them which I believe would mean they can no longer catch us.
Odds with Bet365 of 2/1 for a Burnley win are rather generous.

As Coyote has predicted a 4-0 win and has been 100% up a gum tree I fancy Sunderland to come up with a 3-0 win and set the nerves tingling amongst the Claret faithful, sure Caernarvon thinks likewise, a bad bad day for the Burnley faithful.

COME ON BURNLEY!!!!! Never confident on our travels and always expect the framework/mentality to break down but STUFF IT! A WIN akin to Huddersfield away last season...not pretty but the epitome of ruthless professionalism.

I think everyone knows that a win for us at Sunderland, alongside Hull and Boro' losing would
put us in a virtually unassailable position.
15 points ahead of Sunderland, 12 above Boro' and 10 above Hull
with 9/10 games to go.
Can we get that monkey off our back?
Let's hope we can and, if so, the fears of possible relegation subside drastically.

If we notch first today, it could become an awfully hostile experience for the Sunderland players. We surely have to ensure that happens.
Come on Burnley. Make today the day.

Good morning everyone. Really looking forward to this - today has to be the day, surely?! Agree that if we start well and get an early goal then the signs will be very good indeed - particularly if the home crowd get on the back of the Sunderland players. UTC!

I agree with Jurek. I think if we're ever more points clear of 17th, than we have games remaining, then that will be the point where I think we've pretty much done it. A win today could put us in that position.

Morning all from a very wet Galway , jezzzzzzzzzzzzzz it's been raining for 36 hours .
So game day after last week when i did think we get well beaten if i was honest , today i really think we will win very well and this is what worries me .
Need to score first and put them to the sword .

I don't know how you lot sit easy with hedge and return averages. The evidence I work to is last time round with Leicester playing like the champions they became with about six games to go and leaving everyone in their slipstreamm, including us. It's not just about Sunderland and borough, it's the buggers above them that worry me - Leicester,Swansea and Palace, all capable of pulling away

Neither Hull, Boro or Sunderland have the players capable of putting a sustained run together. They lack the quality. You could say the others are under performing somewhat.
And it seems to get missed that Hull's away record is as bad as ours. Aside from the 0-0 v Man. U their only away points came at the very start of the season when Mike Phelan was in charge.

Off into town with the wife. Wearing my 2016 Burnley championship winners polo shirt for luck. Guess you can blame me if we don't win. If we do I'll be wearing for every match

We're above 8 teams at the moment. It'll take six of them to overtake us for us to be relegated.
Not going to happen.

Same side as began at Anfield. Brady on bench with Defour. Arfield on left side, Boyd on right.

Wingers offer absolutely nothing in attack. Criticise Brady for his poor start fair enough but he probalby offers more attacking intent then the both of Arfield and Boyd. We also now do not have a decent set-piece taker on the field.

Bench is looking fairly impressive.
Almost 30m worth of talent there.
That's probably the most in terms of money we've ever had on our bench
and apart from Hendrick that's our Championship winning team.

That's a decent enough side I think and with Defour and Brady on the bench it's a decent bench too,

£20m+ of talent on the bench
Don't think the starting 11 adds up to that

I'll not be happy if they are getting on their backs. I'll be happier if they are on their way home by HT. That's been the norm this season.

I`m going for a different `formation` tonight. The boy is still in bed wearing his lucky Burnley top (the solid back four) but we`re going with wine instead of beer (hoped for Defour but alas not...maybe off the bench early 2nd half) and the wedding ring is off (shackles released from the wingers?).
Hurry up already 3pm your time!!!!!!

Come on Super Burnley
Hope we can get at least a draw today and this week we can have a neutral ref
Went to this game last time we were in Premier and around the time that Ings had had his head turned by Liverpool and Spurs

Understand the reluctance to change, but this team we are facing today are light years away from the Liverpool side we played last week.
Brady should be starting

That side doesn't fill me with confidence but it is SD's preferred one, hopefully Gray remains on form, Barnes isn't red carded and one of our defenders isn't injured.

A very formulaic side, other than Gray not asking too many questions, the Neanderthal Dyche, but no one will complain if he wins, not even me.

I think many could have predicted the team and line up and Dyche isn't one for taking
many risks so has stuck with the team and formation that performed well at Liverpool.
Let's hope it do so today and comes away with at least a point.
