Heaton back to his confident best today. Number 1 by rights.

Wonder where are all them pennies are that were raised for Joe Hart's thoughts on City's goalkeepers this season?

I'm not for taking him for granted because I know how good he is, but it was a pretty routine day for Captain Thomas.

Outstanding as per.

joe hart seems to be a git, I think football fans need to not know their players too closely. I would struggle to welcome hart as a claret.

Thought Pickford was outstanding, as was Ben Foster in the Arsenal game. Can't understand how Hart gets picked?

Might be something to so with his player profile.

Always been the same.

I agree, Pickford is very good. I'd have him as a replacement for Heaton when the time comes

I don't get why Forster gets called up either. He's always prone to a mistake or 3 in every game.

problem is our managers are yes men and just pick the same old players.

I thought Fat Sam was going to be different and then HE picked the same players.

England team needs a right old clearout with a manager that isn't afraid to take risks. Half of that squad have had 8 years to prove they are international class and failed. If that means we have Antonio, Pickford and Mee then i'm okay with it

Sadly they pick the best we've got. By international standards they are way short of good enough.

When Andre Gray is reported to be in the reckoning, you understand the lack of depth.

England fail because they pick names rather than teams - Robson, Venables and to a lesser extent Hoddle almost got it right in tournaments with that approach
