The price of an away win

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Sun Mar 19, 2017 10:36 am

I have just worked out that I have been to 33 premier league away games since we first went up and we have won 3. None under Coyle, one under Laws and Two under Dyche (I missed Stoke). That is terrible.

All 3 of them came after we had been all but relegated if not mathematically and 2 of them were against Hull!!!! An average of 1 win every 11.

Next away games my 11th this season...

Averaging it at 30 quid a ticket and 20 quid transport (probably more in reality) and before all other expenses. It has cost me £1,650 to see three wins. £550 a win hahaha!

Is there anything else we pay that amount of money in the hope not guarantee of enjoyment? No wonder so many of us have so many vices

It seems we struggle to win when it matters.

I have also seen only 3, although mine were Hull, Villa and Stoke.
Weirdly enough I'm almost sure my son has also seen 3 victories in the premiere league, 3 out of 3!

He has only been away about 12 times, but without double checking I don't think he has tasted defeat. I dragged him to Charlton!!!

- get yourselves on the home matches, quite a lot of joy to be had there these days.

And that's not accounting every week we bet on an away win thinking the next one is only round the corner
Nobody told us how far that bloody corner is

After a long think I've realised he went Swansea and we got beat 1-0 I think. But 1 defeat in 12 isn't bad.

He has also never seen us lose to B4stards!
