Cracking view of The Turf
The unpredictability of our Northern Weather means every day I have a different and stunning view of the The Turf. Once again got caught off guard without my proper camera to hand.
Got it now but the rainbows disappeared.
Could do a daily picture of The Turf and the image would look different on all 365. In fact it looks different throughout each day!
Cant think of a better setting for a ground.

Not quite as nice a view out back... although it has its moments, even on a rainy day!

Those two shots epitomize the Burnley that I fell in love with. As I said, my family comes from a spot about 30 miles due north of Burnley, so there must be something in the blood. Thanks, cricketfields.

The rainbow photo captures things nicely.
Notice it is lighter inside the rainbow, and the inverse rainbow starting on the outside of it:

Very impressive CFC, have you considered joining The Cloud Appreciation Society and submitting some of your shots?
That third pic definitely has an angry face (Saxo I bet
) just left of centre at the bottom.

I have never heard of it. But better not tell my dad about that site, he has a huge window looking over the Yorkshire / Lancashire border and its a different skyline every night. Always get a picture off him. Now I know why I am such a nerd as Cutsy so eloquently put it!

I actually dont mind in all seriousness, think its just the principle of asking first. They must be decent if he is pinching them

Re: Cracking view of The Turf
Stan Ternent once said that Turf Moor surrounded by all the terraced houses was akin to a ship in a dry dock - the picture encapsulates that perfectly

Re: Cracking view of The Turf
This is what I've always loved about Burnley. Yes, it might be grim, especially in the middle of winter, but it's just so real. Real people, real fans, real rain in your face in the morning. Keeps you grounded, y'know.
