Respect for the Police, Ambulance Crews and M.P.

My thoughts are obviously with the family and close friends of the victims of this terrible attack.

Respect for the Emergency Services who acted very quickly and by doing so quite probably saved lives.

Well done to the M.P. who tried to save the life of the policeman.

Our emergency services are fantastic and severely undervalued, makes you wonder what goes through the heads of the Halfwits that attack them when they are doing their jobs.

I work in Westminster and saw them at work today. They did an incredible job in tragic circumstances.

Agreed. There's always a certain amount of public panic on these occasions which tends to confuse matters but that looked like a very well co-ordinated and efficient response to events by emergency services.
Otherwise it's maybe a flag that we need to arm more police who are on duty in sensitive areas like this. The dead policeman may've been able to save his own life if he'd been armed. It's against the grain re the history/ethos of our police force but something to be reconsidered in these times.

Wow. Four responses. Perhaps indicative of a society that thinks an Officer killed on duty is par for the course. Not worth commenting on. After all, it's their job, right?

There is very little understanding of the extraordinary lengths the emergency services go to, on a daily basis. Today is no different. Their response was superb.

A family man, father, and husband has not returned home today. Just imagine, for one minute, that it's you leaving the house, and not returning to your loved ones. It's incomprehensible. This is the threat faced by our emergency services every single day. But they do it. Every single day. For you.

And lastly, there aren't any 'extra' Police Officers. It's the same guys and girls, pulling double shifts, having rest days cancelled, to keep us safe.

Respect to them. And my condolences to the family of Keith Palmer.

It goes without saying that the vast majority of citizens totally respect and value the work of the police, ambulance crews and all emergency workers..it goes without saying.

It sort of is, stating the obvious for people to come on here, and post that they agree with what the bloke at the top said.

Instead of trying to find a way to hate billions of people for the actions of a few we should absolutely be looking and focusing on those among us who are our heroes. These people are willing to run into the fire every day to save lives and they go under reported at times like these.
