Funny, he was happy to wait his turn behind Duff and Shackell.Saxoman wrote:Not really. He didn't want to be a sub behind Hanley and dann as I remember..

Another enjoyable evening on this site deteriorates with the arrival of Saxo and his infantile drivel..... FFS I wish someone would sort it out before this site goes down the pan.

He will go further then both of them so he was right to go back to UTD and then on to us.
Re: Germany V's England
The idea of Keane being behind that fugly Neanderthal Hanley in the pecking order is hilarious.

Re: Germany V's England
A classic Burnley-esque performance tonight.
No flair, no confidence, no one wanting to do anything out of the gameplan incase they lose their spot, full of nerves and hopelessness.
Sean could easily get himself a new job.
BTW Keane was great but clearly stuck to doing what he was told and doing absolutely no thinking for himself tonight, clearly didn't want to upset his new manager.

Really really good from Keane, I think he misplaced 2 passes in 93 minutes. I'll be amazed if he doesn't start at the weekend

Only a friendly. The real stuff I'll actually watch on Sunday. Keane back on the bench I suspect.
Re: Germany V's England
Eric Dier has already had his day at international level, the three center halves work but we don't need Dier in there.

I thought England played well and deserved something.
With Kane on for Vardy. Sterling for Livermore we would have done even better.

Re: Germany V's England
Terrific from Keane tonight. One slip vs Sane when he waited a second too long for the ball to come down, but other than that he was faultless. Great distribution and just very very assured.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the England game then. What you've said is pretty much the opposite of what actually happened.starting_11 wrote:A classic Burnley-esque performance tonight.

Re: Germany V's England
Cahill's only awkwardness tonight was when asked a crass, pointless post-match question about "events today in London." Thankfully, he muttered a quick platitude and moved on to talk about the performance.

A lot of that post is rubbish, the biggest one is no confidence, I wouldn't say our Burnley team lacks confidence.starting_11 wrote:A classic Burnley-esque performance tonight.

Good showing from England. Liked the system. Keane had a good and confident game.

So what do you call sh*tting yourself every time you have the ball, or everytime they have it?Shore claret wrote:A lot of that post is rubbish, the biggest one is no confidence, I wouldn't say our Burnley team lacks confidence.

starting-11...stop, please. It's painful that you can be so wrong about something. Just the fact that, at this high-point in our club's history of the past 40 years, you can post in a derogatory fashion about being Burnley-esque is utterly embarrassing and, I'm sorry, downright daft.

Saxo, can you not stop the snipe snipe nature of your comments??? You ruin pretty much every thread.Saxoman wrote:Only a friendly. The real stuff I'll actually watch on Sunday. Keane back on the bench I suspect.
Re: Germany V's England
while I have not been here long, I noticed you have never got anything right, so I thought you posting the statement ensured the worst scenario could not happen, so thank you againSaxoman wrote:You were sayin'?

This also means you still retain a 100% batting average, which is something to be proud of in a way.
plus I would like to say MK looked very comfortable and assured and expect him very soon to be the main CB for England, much like Cahill who also got his early training at Burnley, not bad is it to have 2 out of 3 center backs playing/starting for England 1st team and managing 90 mins with a Burnley pedigree
