Spurs - next home game
Looking like it's going to be a sell-out, just under 500 seats left.

Looks like Harry will be missing. We just need Alli and Eriksen to drop out now and we might have a chance.

So what happened to the hordes of 'full-time' Lincoln City fans when your lot visited your close neighbours York yesterday? In a paltry crowd of just 3,294, how many of you were there then? A thousand at best. There'll be even fewer than that at Borehamwood in the next game and as for your next home match...are you going to break 4,000?! We are neither stupid or full off self importance so understood an amazing cup run resulted in a massive increase in part time fans like myself attending some games
It is you deluded fools who think your support is something special and who obsess about population sizes and catchment areas.
Anyhow nothing wrong with you having some part time fans to fill your ground against the big teams who spend their cash on those half and half scarfs

Google York v Burnley 1992 Imp
Now that is one division above where you are now, and there are a bit more than 1,000 Burnley fans there.

149 single seats lefts. Should be a great game and Spurs haven't got the best record at Turf Moor in recent years.

Re: Spurs - next home game
Surely we need a slightly bigger capacityLeisure wrote:33 seats left.
At this point if there were plenty of seats together, for both Spurs over a week away and Man Utd a month away and almost all gone, we could sell another thousand or so including on the day walk ons. If we accommodated 4K away fans then we're looking at 25k
I know many will pour scorn on this, but to accommodate home fans we've had to reduce the away following by 1500, if we can build a stand above the Bob Lord holding 4000 which we into 2500 away and 1500 home then do the reverse with the CFS and reduce the away to 1500 and increase the home to 2500 we have a 25k capacity with 4000 away, we still comply with the EPL plans for away fans having some pitch side.
IMO if we had a ground with 25k seats all weatherproof with a 4K allowance for away fans then the Spurs crowd would be around 24k plus
And the Man Utd would be a 25,744 sell out, sounds good.
We need to create capacity for growth.

Re: Spurs - next home game
I'm not suggesting that we are some super big club who need a 30/40k stadium but if we have had to, as we have, reduce the away support numbers from a reasonable level to a somewhat inadequate level to accommodate the home fan demand combined with some sell outs then surely reinstating the away support numbers whilst allowing for a possible growth, even if just in big games, of around 1500 home fans is sensible progression.Bin Ont Turf wrote:What's the point of having more empty seats?

Re: Spurs - next home game
Do it on the cheap at first. Fill the corners with temporary seating. If warranted look to expand as we grow.
Re: Spurs - next home game
Slowly but surely getting towards a sell out - just 27 seats now left.
Re: Spurs - next home game
Look at Bradford city or Charlton to see how daft a big stadium looks with thousands of empty seats.BleedingClaret wrote:I'm not suggesting that we are some super big club who need a 30/40k stadium but if we have had to, as we have, reduce the away support numbers from a reasonable level to a somewhat inadequate level to accommodate the home fan demand combined with some sell outs then surely reinstating the away support numbers whilst allowing for a possible growth, even if just in big games, of around 1500 home fans is sensible progression.
While we are at it, shouldn't we get rid of the wooden seats and replace them with brilliant new, shiny plastic ones?

Does it actually tell you how many are left or do you need to click on each stand and count the seats?
