Think I make that 2 near misses which will hopefully put an end to the poor run that I was having

Excellent trip thank you, good food, good beers, excellent vodkas and very friendly natives.Buxtonclaret wrote:Not at all, Funky!
Good trip?
Very sobering trip to Auschwitz and Birkenau which had to be done, and is another off my bucket list.
Re: ***Spot the Ball - RESULTS for 25-03-17 - Spot the Ball***
So nearly a direct hit, but think I've only 1 near miss out of that lot, so not a productive day for MACCAsfield.

Still on my list, Funky.
A few friends have been and, as you say, it's a very sobering experience, by all the accounts I've heard.

Re: ***Spot the Ball - RESULTS for 25-03-17 - Spot the Ball***
It has to be said that there was some pretty unimpressive scoring this week, given that one or two were very very easy. Actually, none of them are EASY unless you know where the ball is
Image 3 produced the highest number of Direct Hits that we've ever had, a total of 8, just for the one image. Conversely, Image 4 was a stinker with no-one getting even remotely near !
Highest scorer this week was Sproggy with a very creditable 28 points (plus the 6 for taking part). Other scorers of note were ClaretCanada, Oldcolner101, and Funkydrummer.
Elsewhere JellyBelly scored their first Direct Hit, whilst MACCA is still without a Direct Hit after 73 attempts... pretty impressive in its own right
The Admiral continues his steady trundle up the League whilst Funkydrummer has reached the dizzy heights of 7th. Thedodge and Bobinho and broken through the 100 point barrier and a bottle neck is appearing below HunterST in 8th, with 8 points separating the next 7 places. Things are definitely hotting up.
Thank you to all who took part.
Tables update soon.

Re: ***Spot the Ball - RESULTS for 25-03-17 - Spot the Ball***
It does clearly highlight the standard of Division One opposition that two near-misses and one spot-on do no more than continue a 'steady trundle' upwards. According to the Tables thread, I've moved up only two places.
Still ahead of Spades, though!
And at last have overtaken Bertiebeehead, as forecast!

O'right, o'right, talk about kicking a man when he's down. We are a very young side building slowly after what's been a torrid last decade or so for us.
I vow now that Maccasfield will be back to where they belong sooner rather than later!
