Wirral Gas Blast

Post by JohnMac » Mon Mar 27, 2017 6:21 pm

14 year lad 'Alex' on BBC North West who got involved in the aftermath of the gas explosion on Saturday.

He came out with comments regarding his personal involvement along the lines of:

'I've always said if anything happened I would run towards it and not away'
'I don't want singling out, there were a lot of people helping beside me'
'This is a community and I only want to put back into it what it's given to me'

What a fantastic attitude for one so young, that is the stuff of real hero's.

Certainly went with a bang. Rattled my house and I'm about five miles away from the site of the explosion!

I live about 7 miles away and I never heard it.

I loved the quote that it was "heard in North Wales, which is 70 miles away." Mmmm - maybe by road....

Suggestions of a dirty deed. Now there's a thing.
