His GF has been posting pictures of them. I know it's the international break. I assumed the lads that were not on international duty would stay and train with the club? Is this not correct?

Not disagreeing with it at all. In fact it was quite nice to see him out of the regular environment.
I was just a bit confused, I thought the rest of the squad would be training towards the spurs game on Saturday.

They were off from at least Thursday through to 12:00 yesterday ( Monday ) is all I can offer you. ( except the injured lads )

There isn't much you can do if half the team are away, especially when it's a partnership in certain areas of the team.
Let's hope they appreciate the time off and come back fresh and ready for Saturday

Who gives a ****? He's a footballer and he could have done with a break.

It might have done him some good!

I must admit I raised an eyebrow when I saw the clip in one of the daily's. Team mates training and playing for their national sides whilst those not good enough to represent their country appear to be having a 'jolly'. There professional footballers and should have at the very least been training at Gawthorpe. Just my opinion.

Fair enough and nobody can say you are wrong. I think it's good that he's had time to recharge to be honest, we've got a lot of games coming up and if this helps him to stop feeling jaded then that's a good thing.

Don't think it's fair to say that becasue he hasn't been called up he should have to train as normal either, makes sense to have a break away from football for a few days.

Dyche is a believer of a certain amount of downtime to get away from it and mentally recharge.

I'm sure that Gray will be keeping up his fitness levels with his little pop star friend.

The only concern I have is with going to America the jet lag could be a problem.

They should have time off whenever they can.

Back in the early 90s when Vince Overson used to play cricket with us up Towneley he told me footballers have to do some form of exercise every day i.e an hours swimming or cycling even in their summer holidays. Football is far more fitness strict nowadays so I can't see a problem.

Are we not talking about honing skills here, rather than simply fitness levels ? Believe me
there is quite a bit of honing to do in this instance - I am sure the press-ups he will be doing
will keep his fitness levels up ! !

Que to check in, line up for security, wait to board, sat with minimal leg room in cattle class, processed meal in a plastic tray with plastic cutlery and a bun in a wrapper.

Your typical premier league footballer:
VIP lounge, VIP security and baggage check, priority boarding, 1st class with flat bed, champagne welcome aboard, fillet steak and wine on the finest crockery, priority disembarking.

I'm not sure that such a journey is going to have quite the same effect as it would on many 'normal' travellers.

It's his time off. He can do whatever he wants and go wherever he pleases as long as he is back in training on the specified day. I don't see a problem in the slightest and actually find it a positive that he is soaking up new cultures and experiences. Admittedly, he could have gone to Blackpool for that but that's his choice.
