Construction well under progress.
At least it will be a stadium designed for football from the outset whilst Wet Ham occupy the folly / white elephant that is the London Stadium.
Single tiered stand behind the goals holding 17,000 with a design which will allow future safe standing sounds good.

A bar 100M long with its own onsite brewery and the capacity to deliver 10,000 pints a minute. Must be thinking of staging Ireland v Scotland matches some time in the future.

Pics at link that were taken when I was down at Spurs in December - very strange that walking round the outside of the old ground takes you inside the new ground.
I've called it New White Hart Lane at the link too but I believe that won't be the case.

I dont like new stadiums but Spurs ahve got everything bang on here.
Location
Design
Facilities
Future scalability
It is just like a renovated WHL. The 17,000 KOP inside a bowl stadium will be immense.
Spurs are a forward thinking club. I presume that they will have engaged with fans to make sure the fans who have always sat together still do so the atmopshere isnt affected.

When we played Arsenal away, I met up with an Arsenal-supporting mate for a beer before the game &, to wind him up, mentioned that I was very impressed by Spurs' new ground design/facilities.
He reckoned it was deliberately designed to hold just a couple of hundred more that The Emirates - specifically to "get "one over" on Arsenal.

Except the price. A friend of mine is a season ticket holder at Spurs and she pays double what my season ticket in the Bob Lord stand costs.
How many on here would be happy to pay £800-£900 per season for a ticket?

I kid you not I have lost count the number of times pubs have run out of beer on Irish away trips

It's London for starters, where a lot of season tickets would be more expensive then ours.
The club isn't being handed a stadium like West Ham either.
They're also competing at the top end of the league on a more consistent basis now, playing good football.
It would be really hard to argue against a season ticket costing that much when you look at what's happening.
Qpr have pricing structures for their season tickets -
Adult
Platinum £610 £649
Gold £535 £570
Silver £465 £495
Bronze £400 £425
Renewal price and new ticket prices for their early bird window.

It's just London prices isn't it?

There's still a lot of wrangling going on about the level of council contributions and Spurs' contributions to infrastructure, the level of affordable housing in the new residential area, etc. There was a game of brinksmanship recently with the local council
http://www.standard.co.uk/news/london/t ... 75041.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; as the financing and Wembley deals came up to be signed. It looks like I'll be contributing to this, in one way or another, as well as the West Ham ground.

Now who was it that was in charge at Burnley when the platinum, gold, silver and bronze idea came in?

I wouldnt. But then Burnley arent competing for the title, in the champions league and buying the best players in the world (which spurs will be aiming to do). Forgetting the whole London pricing thing too.
Spurs will be a major force now and a massive competition not just for Arsenal but for the league as a whole.
Also think about it. If its £1k for an Arsenal season ticket or £800 for a Spurs one and you are a Londoner but with no affiliation to either (of which in this generation there are plenty) and want to follow a team you will go for Spurs.
And when you say she pays double, is that now or when the new stadium is built?

One other thing - our tickets are ridiculously cheap. Even my friends from Germany who have notoriously cheap tickets cant believe how little Burnley pay for premier league season tickets. Long may that continue too.

All this could go bad with playing their home games at Wembley next season. They didn't take to it in the CL this season. A poor season and I coukd see a few of their stars leaving.

What about the incorporation of technology (the fans' experience)?

Alternatively playing at Wembley and then a brand new stadium could be a good way of attracting better players. Agree though playing at a new stadium means teams take a while to bed in plus every team raises their game - especially at wembley!

Hi cricketfieldclarets, she said she currently sits in the South stand, block 40 and pays £880.

Edit: Just realised that's in the same stand that we are in when we go there.

Yeah so if they are paying that now, the new stadium will seem like good value to her. Unless they then charge Arsenal rates!

Always remember the Spurs glory years and immense 'European nights' from many decades ago. Those games saw crowds of 65,000 at WHL, more than they will get in their new stadium. Progress eh!
