To be fair its fairly easy to imagine that could happen. A fan of a rival club, someone who wants their 2 mins of fame, someone who wants to impress their mates. Its quite feasible that it could have happened.

One thing you can be sure of with Berahino, is that everything will be someone else's fault.

Fair comment, but Players usually go to slightly better clubs then the rest of us and even then they'll have their own VIP area to keep out riff raffcricketfieldclarets wrote:To be fair its fairly easy to imagine that could happen. Frankly I don't believe him. I've seen videos where various drugs were tipped into pints / bottles of beer and other drinks. Almost all of them 'explode' and froth over. If you saw a drink looking like that, then you wouldn't touch it. Obviously not all drugs do that, but the likely drugs of cocaine, amphetamine, LSD etc etc all did bad things to your drink.

This being the same Berahino who was convicted of drink driving only a year or two ago.

His excuse has a similar ring to those who are caught out by Jeremy Kyle's lie detector and squeal that "it's wrong!"

It is possible and dependent on your state you could miss it I suppose and drink a bit of it, 2 things spring to mind.
1. It is easily proved with a hair test.
2. He said it was a small amount I'm not sure what that means and how big a dose the spike would need to be to show up.
I have heard this excuse used before to be honest a few times for failed tests in the Military and the vast majority of the times I have heard it have been rubbish.

Also if that was the case why was he banned? if you are honest and say look I feel that I was spiked Saturday or whatever what governing body would ban you slap on the wrist don't be an idiot again etc and carry on.

A plausible defence if it wasn't a spliff that he'd been done for.

Re: Berahino claims his drink was spiked, resulting in ban this season.
Berahino claims the level of drug found in his system was 'really low', which he argues is evidence it was not taken intentionally.
OR
It had been a while since he took it ! !
For the record, I don't believe him either, not one bit.
