Evolving rules of the game.

Following on from the experiment of TV refs, there is talk of experimenting with a final third of the pitch offside rule.
This would mean that an attacking player can only be deemed offside in the final 1/3 as opposed to beyond the current half way line.
Would this better suit our style of play over that of say man city?
