Would love to see this lineup
Been dreaming about this starting 11 for some time, but doubt it will ever happen
............Gray
Brady Hendrick Defour Boyd
...........Barton
Ward Mee Keane Lowton
..........Heaton
Like I said, can't see Dyche going away from his ethics but would love to give this a go

Would rather we play Westwood then Barton. He was atrocious today.

I think as a holding he would do better, but absolutely Westwood could play there and do a job

Heaton up front I can understand but Gray is too small to go in goal.damo_whitehead wrote:Been dreaming about this starting 11 for some time, but doubt it will ever happen

Re: Would love to see this lineup
Boyd and arfield should be knowhere near our starting x1. Add Barton to that list as well.
Championship level is there peak. Offer absolutely nothing at this level

Re: Would love to see this lineup
SD would never drop Arfield
Re: Would love to see this lineup
Barton improved from an awful first thirty.
Arfield offered for the ball more than Boyd but the pair of them really didn't offer anything offensively. Arfield wasted far too many opportunities to open Spurs up.
Most frustrating for me was that the goals came from our own stupidity. The second came from an opportunity to break but Barnes bizarrely played a ball far too hard to Barton, from which they broke.

Re: Would love to see this lineup
Barton having his worst game in a Burnley shirt coupled with an absolute horror show from Hendrick gave us a mountain to climb. Those two created most of Spurs
chances today. Defour has to be given a start even if it's alongside them working in a 3

Re: Would love to see this lineup
A similar line up has worked previously and would work agains Stoke:
.................Heaton...............
Lowton.....Keane...Mee....ward...
Arfield...Barton...Defour....Brady...
...............Hendrick.........................
...................Vokes.........................
Barton and Defour together are the reason why the word 'compliment' was added to the dictionary.

Started 19 out of 30 league games this season and hasn't been injured which disproves that theorycockneyclaret wrote:SD would never drop Arfield

Arfield was injured for two games, Southampton and Arsenal. Never mind the fact the Gudmunsson has had injury problems so Arfield was the only other option .

Similar side to what i suggested for today but would have Arfield in for Boyd.
