Confusion just ahead of kick off yesterday
Both teams looked like they were about to assemble in a line for a minute's silence or applause just prior to kick off yesterday, but then dispersed into their respective formations.
Was there supposed to be a minute's silence or applause yesterday? If so, for what? I also noticed that all players wore black armbands?

in anticipation of our 2nd half performance!
I too thought they were all setting up for a minutes silence...even the staff + subs stood pitch-side

We spotted it but I didn't see the black armbands until watching Match of the Day and was going to ask what they were for.Sean Dyche's Watch wrote:Both teams looked like they were about to assemble in a line for a minute's silence or applause just prior to kick off yesterday, but then dispersed into their respective formations.

They had something for Moran at Anfield, rightly so, but wouldn't have expected it anywhere else.RammyClaret61 wrote:Was it not for Ronnie Moran former Liverpool manager?

It did say on tv what it was for, but couldn't hear it in the pub.

Prior to kick off on Saturday....
...Was there supposed to have been a minutes silence maybe for the London attack? There seemed to be some confusion. The subs and SD lined up on the touchline and some of the players seemed to come to the centre circle and then they seemed to change their mind

IT had hacked into the refs earpiece and he'd decided it'd just be easier to abandon the silence.

Aye, looked a bit awkward didn't it?
We got through an afternoon without a minute's silence or a minute's applause at some point during the game.
Extraordinary. Surely we can find someone who's died that we never knew in time for Tuesday.

There was supposed to be a minute's applause on 52 minutes. Flashed up on the big screen but all the play was at the Cricket Field end of the ground with Spurs on the attack. Barely anyone near me in Longside upper did the applause (probably didn't even see the screen).

Thanks for that. I saw the post on facebook and wondered what had happened to it.Falcon wrote:There was supposed to be a minute's applause on 52 minutes.
