Modern football

Post by cricketfieldclarets » Sun Apr 02, 2017 8:56 am

Modern football in two pictures... I understand football tourism and can handle a selfie. But selfie sticks?!?!?!? Suppose its a sign of how far this northern mill town and its old rickety wooden stand have come when we have far eastern selfie stick wankers!

:D 8-)

Eastern selfie stick wankers ? A right old Northern welcome that.
Don't be daft, we should be proud that the "tourists" want to watch Prem football at the Turf.

It just so happens he is oriental. If he was german and a selfie stick ****** he would be a german selfie stick ******. If he was english he would probably be a ****** selfie stick or otherwise!

It is indeed. Very nice. And theyve even made me feel at home. Just about to head out to the coast.

Far eastern - does that mean he comes from Bacup? I haven't head the term 'oriental' in years btw. Are you from the 1920s?

I'm surprised that selfie sticks are allowed into the ground as well.

And the OP was intended as humourous. Although it is subjective. See mrs browns thread for evidence

Well you can rule Bacup out, because he'd have been wrapping the selfie stick round some ones head. :D

Whoever let that offensive weapon on the Turf needs a rethink. One could do some serious damage with one of those metal rods. I've posted a link to a proper 'selfie stick' which you attach AND THEN USE YOUR ARM FOR AN ARM'S LENGTH PHOTO.

it's light and plastic and portable and cheap and gives a greater deal of control as one can swivel it with one's fingers.

You hold the tripod legs as a unit, as if it were one small stick.

Voila. It doesn't take much dexterity to switch the camera on and off and great for the moving image. I've never used one of those selfie sticks as I don't have a smart phone. This teeny pod can store easily and can be taken on a plane.
