Harry Winks

Post by Sean Dyche's Watch » Sun Apr 02, 2017 7:53 am

I don't think I've ever seen a player end up as far away from where the original incident happened. He would have gone further if it wasn't for the wall.....

Was surprised when I saw it again last night on TV - doesn't get anywhere near the wall and the injury was sustained trying to foul Stephen Ward. It was the injured ankle from that which forced him to fall over the box.

The lad certainly impressed me and was the best player on the pitch until he sustained his injury.

Could tell it was serious the way the entire Burnley bench reacted.

Seeing it live I thought he'd done it trying to avoid the cool boxes we have in the side.
Only from seeing the replay it clear that it was from the challenge he put in on Ward

watching the highlights of the game this morning on both Match of the Day and on Sky Sports, it's clear that Match of the Day changed the reaction of the crowd when it happened. You'd only notice it if you were at the game.

Looked like a right winker when he hit the stand.

It's tough putting the brakes on on one leg.
Hope the lads OK. He was impressive.

Makes me a short sighted winker then. I just assumed.

Funny thing is Spurs lost 3 players through injury and the score line flattered us. It should have been at least 4 with the chances they created and missed

Their subs were good!

Winks would have got booked for being late on Ward, had he ever reappeared!
