Interesting to see the direct comparison brunlea99, although I think we've covered all those numbers before on here.
Startling is the only word to describe the half-a-billion pounds Income of United to Jun'16 compared to our £40m.
Incredible that we can even compete on that basis. 869 employees on their payroll to our 167 is another remarkable comparison.

Probably why they don't need to worry about vastly overpaying for unremarkable
players like Pogba.
And why, if they're in for him, they can stump up for Michael Keane.

Also startling that with half a billion income that they have so much "debt". It's madness that a club can earn so much yet still owe so much.
I know that with a couple of seasons of astute financial management that they could pay off their debt but the fact that even with that level of income they still need to use outside income to supplement shows just how much money is around in the top end of the Prem and how much is needed to just compete (barring freak seasons like last).

The owners don't want to pay off the debt. They have no intention of doing that. They saddled the club with debt by buying it using United's own money to buy the club and thereby put it into serious debt. Happens all the time in the corporate world of greed.bfccrazy wrote:Also startling that with half a billion income that they have so much "debt".
