Out for the rest of the season with ankle ligament damage.

Did he do it by kicking Ward or did he do it when he fell over the box?

Looks like it happened on the connection/follow through as apposed to it being a result of the fall

I thought it was whilst hitting Ward. Probably one of those that with another player he might have got away with them pulling out but against a player that has had the career Ward has then it's just unfortunate for Winks. Ward has probably had many, many many of those challenges at him over the years.

Hope the lad has a great recovery and I'm excited to see if he fulfils his potential and that the injury bug doeant strike him the same as a lot of promising young players.

Clearly got the injury before he went over the box so can only assume he did it while trying to kick Stephen Ward.

It did make me laugh that Winks tries kicking Ward....ends up taken out himself and lands in the dugout.

Whereas Ward casually doesnt move an inch and then simple as you like chops it back to avoid Trippier. Marney might be hard .... But he wears Stephen Ward pj's to bed.
