not a bad mid -week - extend lead on bottom three by 2 points - with swans away to West Ham at the weekend and us up at boro - Hull away to Man City

Pool 2 - 2 Bournemouth
Re: Tonights footy
Hull may have won but it leaves Boro on the brink so they're going to be pretty nervy on Saturday I think. What a time to get our first away win....and virtually send Boro down in the process. Mmmmmmm I wish I could be there to taste those sweet sweet smoggie Dyche infused tears. Yummy

Re: Tonights footy
Bournemouth were never really going to be in the relegation places anyway to good a side to go down their result didn't matter.

Re: Tonights footy
West Ham lost 3-0 & that's 5 losses in a row for them, Swansea lost 3-1 having been 1-0 up until the late stages.
WHU v Swansea this weekend is going to be a very nervy game. I guess 0-0 or a home will would suit.

Re: Tonights footy
So the gap is 7 points plus a better goal difference of 17. I'll take that!

Burnley and Bournmouth have same number of points (35) and same goal difference (-12).

Re: Tonights footy
These what ifs can drive you mad, but eliminate either of the late winners Swansea got against us and i reckon we'd be able to crack open the Champagne.
Re: Tonights footy
Tables change so quickly at this point. Fast forward to the weekend and we could be effectively 11 ahead of Swansea by full time.
If that happens we're safe I'd say.

Re: Tonights footy
Shame Bournemouth equalised so late on. Overall, though, a good set of results, especially the Swansea one. What must they be feeling?

Not perfect but I'm sure we'd have taken that set of results before kick off

Re: Tonights footy
A good night's results but show the importance of our 3 pts last night, sleep easier folks.

Re: Tonights footy
Hull are away to Man City and their away form isn't good so a chance to get a bigger gap on them as well as Swansea. Mind you, West Ham look very dodgy at the moment so they could easily lose at home to Swansea!Walt wrote:Tables change so quickly at this point. Re: Tonights footy
If we had lost last night and tonights results gone as they had. Could envisage some really nervous people on here.

Some of the lightweights on here would now be in Burnley General on a drip feed if we hadn't won.dpinsussex wrote:Could envisage some really nervous people on here.

Seems like we have swopped Swansea for Hull as the team to worry about.
