keeping the ball on the floor (or deck!)

Post by Vegas Claret » Sat Apr 08, 2017 5:48 pm

In the last few games or so our best passages of play when we've kept the ball on the deck have resulted in us creating quality chances, we need to stop aimlessly launching it, we are much better than that.

Hear hear, get 5 in midfield and we might become a joy to watch.

The ground Vegas, not the floor, the floor is an inside a building term.

However, you are correct regarding the better play. :D

So long as that 5 includes a defender?

Hendrick looks class when he's on the ball, we need to make more use of his ability

It's obviously a lot easier to execute this when we're up against a poor team who give us time and space on the ball, like Boro. We tried to take care of the ball today and played a lot of the game on the deck but found ourselves looking toothless up front, again.

Yes, unfortunately our three strikers are probably just not good enough. But good ones cost a fortune.

Good job we've got a fortune. It'll be difficult to attract some real quality to Burnley in the forward positions but it's our most important recruitment task this summer.

I guess the wages for top strikers may be an issue.
