Backtracking I see, looks like I was right all along......Tall Paul wrote:Not true, you keep saying this.
If we get more than five points away from home, you don't post again, I didn't make any concessions.
And it wasn't (immediately) after the first away game.

Not backtracking at all, just pointing out your lies.KRBFC wrote:Backtracking I see, looks like I was right all along......
If we did agree to that, it should be easy for you to find the relevant post.

Re: Yet another away defeat
Again I said there were many positives as there has been in lots of away games this season. This game has just highlighted to me that we are just not doing something correctly. I don't know what it is but how many teams honestly don't win an away game all season. Even just by luck.
Few people are missing the point, we should have brought a midfielder on when we were drawing. It was clear to see Valencia and Barkley had mountains of space to create and run at players.
Apologies if this view has offended a few people

Perhaps you can copy his thread then which shows it was reciprocal thing. I remember you saying we wouldn't get 5 points away, but as far as I can recall it was much later than the start of the season unless you said it then too which I didn't see.KRBFC wrote:Backtracking I see, looks like I was right all along......

Re: Yet another away defeat
Great performance today. Feel bad for the players because they all put 100% in. There was much more fluidity and less long ball as well today, the difference in a large part is the quality they have and the finishing that goes with it (which comes at a price). As for 30 shots.... the footy app I have says they had 16 to our 10. Hardly a battering is it...
This isn't one of those times when you come away from a game upset, angry or disappointed, it's one where...ok we got 0 points... but those of us that were there know that we've come a long way and it's only a matter of time before that win comes

You'd have to be a half wit to make that sort of bet. Why would Tall Paul do it?KRBFC wrote:After watching our first away game of the season I made a bet with Tall Paul that we wouldn't get more than 5 points away from home. The loser doesn't post on here again, the only reason Im still posting on here is because Dyche has no idea how to set up a PL side away from home.

According to sky sports Everton had 30 shots on goal and we had 12.

They had 29. I counted (I didn't really).Newcastleclaret93 wrote:According to sky sports Everton had 30 shots on goal and we had 12.
As for shots ON TARGET... Everton 7. Burnley 6.
They count 'shot on goal' as chances from 30 yards out that get closed down.

Re: Yet another away defeat
Of which they had 7 on target and we have 6, which is probably more relevant. Any idiot can take an invitation to shoot from a harmless position 35 yards out with 5 men between there and goal, and fail to worry the keeper.Newcastleclaret93 wrote:According to sky sports Everton had 30 shots on goal and we had 12.
Our problem on the road has been that we've performed much better and possibly with more ambition in some of the games at bigger teams, then we've managed in the games we've had a more realistic opportunity to win. At Hull, Swansea and Sunderland, and perhaps also at Boro we've been a touch under par. Sounds like today was different. Liverpool certainly was.

Re: Yet another away defeat
I'm currently watching Barcelona v lowly Real Sociedad, currently 3-2 to Barcelona and Sociedad are the better team - I wonder if the Barca fans complain as much as you lot do because they aren't winning every game 8-0 ?

Re: Yet another away defeat
Yet another fine, gutsy away performance. I can live with this.
Re: Yet another away defeat
Seeing as you could be bothered to find the post and I was a bit bored this morning, I did it for you.KRBFC wrote:Backtracking I see, looks like I was right all along......

That was on October 17th, after we'd played three away games. So I didn't agree not to post if we didn't get the points and it wasn't after the first away game. But you keep making stuff up.KRBFC wrote:Yeah, if we get more than 5 points away from home, I won't post on here again.
Re: Yet another away defeat
So we had a bet but either way you cant lose? Sounds fair. The bet is void then. I presumed you were willing to match.Tall Paul wrote:Seeing as you could be bothered to find the post and I was a bit bored this morning, I did it for you.

Now who's backtracking? Although I didn't expect anything else from you.
That's just a statement, not a bet.KRBFC wrote:Yeah, if we get more than 5 points away from home, I won't post on here again.
Re: Yet another away defeat
I'm not backtracking, I thought we'd agreed that the loser doesn't post on here. If you never agreed then I'm wrong for presuming you did. So the "bet" or whatever you wanna call it, is off.Tall Paul wrote:lol

Re: Yet another away defeat
So you are backtracking on this statement then
"if we get more than 5 points away from home, I won't post on here again and if we don't you won't"
But it doesn't.
But fair enough if you want to lose any slight credibility you might have had.
Because if you expected me to reciprocate the quote would say:KRBFC wrote:Yeah, if we get more than 5 points away from home, I won't post on here again.

I don't know why you're making such a big deal of it. I was wrong, I thought we'd agreed when we didn't. What else do you want? My b*llocks in a glass jar?Tall Paul wrote:So you are backtracking on this statement then

I wanted to bet money, you were the one who decided that you wouldn't post if we got more than 5 away points.
I couldn't give a toss where the points come from, just happy we'll have enough to stay in the PL.
