I am just planning my trip up for the United match and I notice that they are replacing trains with a bus service from Victoria to Burnley. Replacement buses take two hours to get to Burnley. X43 will be rammed on this day. This is going to affect hundreds of Clarets who travel to the Turf from Manchester area and from the South.
The United fans should be ok, as they will be coming up from Surrey and Kent in their cars.

For those travelling by train I have found alternative route.
There are trains from Manchester Oxford Road to Blackburn, then Blackburn to Burnley Manchester Road.

Massive civil works on the rail infrastructure in Manchester at the moment. The Ordsal curve/ northern hub works will change the skyline apparently
