***Spot the Ball - Tables update 16-04-17 - Spot the Ball***

Post by RalphCoatesComb » Sun Apr 16, 2017 10:47 am

Headlines this week

If you haven't already expressed an interest in The League Cup, please do so by Monday (tomorrow)

Here's the link... http://www.uptheclarets.com/messageboar ... =2&t=15415

Tables headlines...

Buxton continues to Blaze a Trail with everyone else drowning in his wake. If it was a boxing match, the Ref would have stopped the fight !

Wilks has regained 3rd spot at the expense of Wile E Coyote. Below them, things are getting very bunched up with Europa League places up for grabs !

The real action has happened at the foot of the 1st Division where MACCA (The Crowd is on its feet), thedodge. and Sproggy have all made 1st Division spots. Whilst MACCA's first Direct Hit (from 93 attempts) was a sight to behold, the real surprise on the rails was Sproggy who scored in all 5 Images (albeit only 3 point Close Shaves in 2 of them).

Any discrepancies in totals will probably be down to Close Shaves carried over from last week and Close shaves in Images 2,4 and 5 this week.

Image 3 saw an unprecedented number of Direct Hits. Spot was pleased that so many scored highly with this Image.

Tables NOW attached

Can't see any tables here, Ralphy. :?:

Have my usual direct hit and one near miss moved me up a bit this week? - Be quick, eh? :? :D

Thanks, Ralphy.

Up another place, then - but it does seem certain now that Euro qualification is beyond me for this season.

Ah, well.

Damn sooo close just like my near misses yesterday. Only 2 pts of 3rd so still time to get the bronze.

Is Wilks the only player to have participated in every round, I notice he's played more than anyone else

The only reason I asked is because I thought Buxton and Wile E had played every round and Wilks a game behind them. Definitely subterfuge to lower Wilks ppg average :o

Firthy's eagle eye has indeed spotted an anomaly !

The issue has gone to the Kennel Club for adjudication. My abacus doesn't count so high ! This may take some time to resolve :o

I'll was that chuffed to be upto 3rd I wouldn't have even realised if Firthy hadn't pointed it out

And considering third spot may go down to PPG if equal on points it was very sporting of him

I've just noticed that Conyo has slipped into Division Two.

Now that's cheered me up a bit.

Phewwwww!!!

The result of the Kennel Club is in. Thankfully, Wilks's total number of points is correct. Unfortunately, a smudge from Spot's paw was misread in the games played column.

The ONLY players to have played in every game (94 games) are:

Buxton
Wile E Coyote and
HunterST

The following have played 93:

Wilks
Joe14
CF73
Midmoor
MACCA and
JDRobbo

My lad picked those for me. I had zero input. I'm interested to see which one(s) scored points as I looked at a few and he looked miles away from what id of chosen!

I9
E13

Near Miss for Images 1 and 5, with a Direct Hit for Image 3

I make that a 3.15 average. Still behind Firthy on that score but if I can up my direct hit rate I'll be in strong position.

Between get those shooting pins sharpened

I've just told him the great news his response was.

Him - Do I win a prize?
Me - No
Him - Can you give me money then?
Me - No
Him - I will help you again if you want?
Me - It was just beginners luck!

GZ to Macca's son, seems the enthusiasm of youth triumphed over the experience of age.

GZ to the unstoppable Buxton, no way he'll be caught now.

GZ to Wilks for getting 3rd spot even if it is only temporary :)

Whatever it's due to, Ralphy, the fact that he's nowhere near my arse now is worth a big :D .
