The Kevin Long phenomena
Has there ever been a player who has stayed at a club longer and played less?

8 years. 22 matches. Not quite 3 a season, and he's a good player.

Let me guess - he should play as a holding midfielder?

I might have to employ you Rowls but here are one or two for you.
Would Thatcher have been Trumps ideal side-kick?
Could Trump take over from SD?
should the Board invite Mrs May for lunch?

Re: The Kevin Long phenomena
We've only had a single Kevin Long phenomenon when the thread title promised more than one. I feel short changed.

Sadly, it was only 20 minutes. Came on for Shackell after 17 minutes and was injured on 37 minutes and replaced by Stephen Reid who was our 3rd sub on the dayDCWat wrote:More like an hour wasn't it? He did play well, too.

Ah yes, sorry my mistake. I'd forgotten that he came off injured.

Re: The Kevin Long phenomena
It was a real shame because he was playing well and then he was out with that injury unti he went on loan to Barnsley. That was a brilliant result that day coming back from 2-1 down to get the draw, having used all subs in the first half.

There must be something about him cos different managers keep giving him a contract. He also stars whenever he goes out on loan.

Seen Kevin play a few times, certainly a decent player who must sometimes regret not moving on.
