World Snooker Championship

Post by FactualFrank » Sun Apr 16, 2017 5:29 pm

I think snooker without Ronnie O'sullivan will be like the darts without Phil Taylor. Not worth watching.

An absolute superb clearance just then and through to the next round.

Anybody else been watching?

There's nowt as majestic as Ronnie in full flow.

I saw the frame before that one where he'd won the frame and was doing a bit of showing off. He digs into the cue ball and shops the pink, the cue ball arcs back to the side cushion, hits it, straightens and slows down to land perfect on the black.

Well jealous.

Did you see the show when he went over to the States where he tried to hustle the Americans? I thought it was quite entertaining, but it showed more about what Ronny is like... just a lad really. A totally difference person to what you see at the crucible.

love watching him play - turn over when he starts talking. the morrissey of snooker.

disagree that snooker isn't worth watching without him. the general standard has never been better but go on youtube and watch stephen hendry in the last frame of the '92 final against jimmy white.

snooker perfection.

No I haven't seen that, but you've give me something to watch later on. 8-)

Here you go. I admit that before seeing this, I just thought he was a bad tempered sod but there's more to him that that. Definitely 'a lad' who one minute is at the Crucible, and the next, just having a laugh at the local pub. A good guy.

Luca Brecel - playing brilliantly. Might be the new world champion.
