Interesting report, CT. Very much in the game at half time, not only in terms of the scoreline but also quality of performance. I think, though, we had 'peaked' by half time but had nothing to show for it whereas the hosts did have more to offer which they duly delivered and ran out worthy winners. Too late for changes now but a rigid 442 hasn't done us any favours on the road this season but our home form should hopefully see us across the line.

It was a decent first half, but we are not very threatening which is worrying. Keane did well with the header they cleared off the line, but it was noticeable how easily Lukaku just brushed him aside for their last goal.
I like Everton, they seemed disorganised when they came here, definately improved as the season progressed.
Some good performances from Burnley yesterday, we are going to have to maintain that workrate to maintain our position abaove the bottom clubs.
Very difficult to imagine how we can fend off united on their current form. I am still apprehensive !!

Don't agree with that. I don't think Everton did anything like enough to be considered worthy winners. As for our rigid 442, we were poorer in the away games when we played with one striker, that's for sure.

Wouldn't worry too much as the Swansea manager looks like he's thrown in the towel.

In the end they did do enough to be worthy winners, but we should have been two up by half time.

It's a different game then.

It wasn't about Everton being poor or lady luck, it was about us being pretty good but rubbish with our chances and generally poor in the final third.

Paul Clement was quoted as saying they will need at least three wins and even then that might not be enough.

cracking article -(again). So much to like / and quote.
This hit's a spot for me - 1992 is not when Football started after all.

"There is something about Goodison I really like. It’s nothing like a modern Premier League stadium, many of the seats in the ground, for both home and away fans, don’t afford the best of views, but it is the sort of ground I was brought up with. Two of the stands are older than me and the big main stand is almost as old as the cricket field stand at Turf Moor. There is so much tradition there and in so many ways it will be a sad day when they move."

Truer words never said.

Due to their inferior goal difference three wins would be enough if we lose all five games left. It can happen but highly doubtful.
